If the average cost of the alleged foot long sandwich is on average $7.50, then the actual cost for an 11 inch sandwich should be roughly $6.79. Those mother fuckers owe me at least twenty five dollars.

Two years ago I was forced to eat Subway for lunch every day for nine straight weeks. I was not a fan of Subway beforehand, but after that, I will never eat there again.

Did someone hold a gun to your head or something? How were you forced to eat Subway? Please explain.

Hehe, Conan had a similar joke the other night. "Foot long" controversy is practically begging for a dick joke.

If I had to eat anything that often I'd get sick of it and never want it again.
Probably gonna go to Subway for Lunch today. Will test the theory with the ruler in my office. Class-action lawsuit!

i think how it goes is that the bread is 12 inches before it bakes but once it bakes it loses that extra inch. kind of like how a quarter pounder is a quarter pound before it cooks.
either way. its not that big a deal

People who eat at Subway could do with losing an inch of bread.

Subway is OK, but I really prefer locally owned, or mom n pop, or whatever you want to call it style sub shops, usually way better.

I stopped eating at Subway when all four of the ones in my area made me sick. Sick or maybe I just got tired of it to the point of getting diarrhea and vomiting. Can you get so tired of something it makes you physically ill?

Psychosomatic symptoms because of heavy negative emotions related to sandwiches?
Sounds legit.

I eat at Subway because they are really the only sub shop in town that has buffalo chicken which is something I'm always in the mood for. Plus I have a friend that works at one so I can sometimes get free ones which is a good reason to eat there.
The problem I have with the best locally owned place here is that, like Jimmy John's, they have a super limited menu and I have trouble finding anything I want. Their chicken salad is fucking amazing when I'm actually in the mood for chicken salad though. I feel like if they expanded their selection a bit I'd eat there more, even if they do charge more and have smaller sandwiches than Subway. Just hate going in a place and being like "Damn there isn't anything here that sounds good" and then just getting something I don't really want so I don't have to go elsewhere.

I'm only slightly surprised that there are people anal-retentive enough to do stuff like measure a footlong sub.

It's nice to live in a country where we can be so damn picky and have so many choices while some people on this planet would eat trash and be happy.

I havent posted for awhile but this is the most important issue of our time
How can so many people not care?
This seems pretty misleading if 11 inches is the norm.
What if companies started selling 12-packs with only 11 beers in them? (or Mt Dew Code Red if that's your thing) Would that be nothing to throw a tantrum over?

I was going to say that you guys must have really high sandwich standards or something, buuuuut I came to the realization that I probably have low sandwich standards. Still, though, Subway's Italian B.M.T.s are pretty bitchin'.

I work at Subway, and last night,I actually got a call from our inspector saying we need to measure at least 10 loaves of bread a day or some shit since people have been complaining, but I haven't had a customer bitch about it yet.
Makes no difference to me either way, I'm probably getting a new job here soon.

1 drink missing in a 12-pack would be something worth complaining about because it's 1 whole bottle/can; something that could be sold by itself. I don't think I'd miss 1 inch of bread though.
Personally, I don't really care, I still think their $5 footlongs are a great deal even if they're 11-inches long. My favorite is the cold-cut combo. Ohhhh yeah~

Never been a fan of Subway. I think the only things I've ever eaten there were the peanut-butter cookies and chips. I had a friend who ALWAYS wanted to eat there years ago, and I swear it got to a point that I wanted to wear a gas-mask in there. The place always reeked of the raunchiest of farts.

You should post here more often, because this is the funniest post I've read in a while.
