I would have named the thread "Hobbes & Bacon" like the actual strip is, but even knowing why the name was chosen, I just think it's misleading and would detract from things. I /really/ wish this guy would decide to continue this strip past these four strips, I think he did a great job with them. But, in the likely case that this is all we get of it, enjoy.

Keep clicking on the picture until you get to a full sized version, then. And be sure to check out all four parts.

Lovely :3
As for the reason behind "Bacon"... It's logical, but a little bit of a stretch.

Couple of things:
seeing this is stunning, and I already love it. I am now digging out all of my old Calvin and Hobbes comics.
Bacon would make more sense as a nickname, instead of an actual name. I dunno.
I'm confused about the last one, where Calvin and Susie can see Hobbes too. I guess I'm thinking too hard about it, but they should only see Bacon dragging around the stuffed doll (but in the second one Calvin and Susie are acting pretty silly, so maybe I really am just overanalyzing).
Either way, that stuff is obviously not enough to deter just how much I love it. I'm trying not to excite myself too much, it's unlikely they'll do anything else with it... so depressing.
If only Watterson would start it back up again. I really miss this stuff.

Yeah, Drew, I don't think he's doing much more with it, if anything.
I saw this at least two years ago. Although it's disappointing and just plain nostalgia-inducing, it still makes for a great idea.
Maybe he'll decided to start up again, but until then, we have to just read the old Calvin and Hobbes comics.
On a side note, is Hobbes pronounced as Hobbis or Hobbs? I've always had some sort of feud with Drew when it came to pronouncing it.

You know, "Francis" would still have been a name that alludes to the philosopher and still have been, well, a name.

Yeah but that ruins the last-name naming convention.

These are very neat. I demand a snowman strip, and at least one in which Calvin dispenses some nonsense fatherly knowledge to Bacon.

It keeps the more important naming convention, is something a child might actually be named, and doesn't remind people of cured meat.

I like this series. Let's all email the website and request more of these "Hobbes & Bacon" comic strips. I remember seeing these on Reddit when they were new.
Remember: Pants Are Overrated is the site that made the comics, not The High Definite.
EDIT: I just got an email from The High Definite:
"Thanks Bobby. Glad you like the content. Unfortunately, the guys that made the strip are no longer making comics. However, as a C&H fan myself, I assure you anything I can find that is similar will show up on THD.
Thanks for reading.
Finest regards
Endswell"
