Halloween is coming up and I'm in the mood to watch some horror movies. If your like me you get bored of watching the same horror movies over and over, and sometimes it's hard to find good ones that you haven't already seen. I figured I'd list some great horror movies that don't get talked about a lot.

This is the perfect movie for Halloween night.

Great serial killer movie, with two great actors.

Awesome creature feature from the 80's.
Image

It's like Deliverance meets Apocalypse Now.
Image

Reminds me of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and House of 1000 corpses.
Image

Brought to you by Sam Raimi and friends. For some reason it's overlooked.
Image

Kind of like Nightmare on Elm Street. It even stars one of the characters from NOES 3.

Awesome road horror film.

Post apocalyptic zombie film with a sense of humor.

A great action horror film. Lots of fun.

Great list! Judging from the box covers alone these look my kind of movies. As a kid the movie Popcorn used to scare the shit out of me. Not literally of course...nope...never.... ....well

I don't know how obscure it is, but always liked this one:

Pretty sure everyone's heard of Night of the Comet.

I've wanted to see Tourist Trap in the worst way since I found clips of it on YouTube three years ago. But it's not on Netflix. Sad

It's a very niche film, and is not mainstream. So the same idiots who masturbate to the Saw and Hostel movies aren't aware of it. If by everyone you mean everyone who is into niche horror movies, then yes. It is quite the cult film though.

Does Night of the Creeps count as obscure then? Cuz if so, I'll add that.

I'd count it. I was just trying to stay away from stuff everyone knows, like The Shining, Halloween, The Exorcist, etc...

Tom Atkins makes that movie so much better than it already is.

Some more hidden gems:

Calvaire, a Belgian horror movie.

It's like Misery meets Deliverance.

My sister has Calvaire for some reason. I always see it sitting on the bookshelf in the hall and I'm like WTF is this?

It's bad. Real bad.

Was one of those movies they used to play on TBS really late. Either that or USA Up All Night.

I didn't see this when you originally posted it, but you should absolutely watch it if you haven't already. It's one of the weirdest, left-of-field horror movies I've ever seen.
