I have a HD from an old pc of mine that was running windows xp. I am trying to copy files to another hard drive on my laptop that runs vista, but the files are encrypted and it won't allow me to copy them. Is there some way to work around this encryption? I read online that I can decrypt in xp, but I no longer have a machine running xp so that won't work for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could try setting up a virtual machine running XP and do it, I'm sure you can find the iso online

That would seem to be the only reasonable answer, unless you can find a way to decrypt the files as a group. I don't think that's possible, though.

Encrypted or simply on an NTFS volume?
