According to this article, Giuliani hasn't filled in his party status for his campaign documents:

If he runs as an independent, I'll be even more supportive of him. I'm more of a libertarian than a republican, and he seems like one too, so that would be outstanding. Besides, with the last Republican Congress straying from its small government roots, and Bush & Rumsfeld's tactical mistakes, I'm not that enthusiastic about voting Republican anymore anyway.

Giuliani may be pissed at the Republicans. He did some campaigning for the midterm elections and I don't think he's too happy about how it went.

One example: Rudy did a positive articulate ad for Kerry Healey, who was Massachusett's Lt. Gov as well as the state party's gubernatorial candidate. Shortly after that ad ran, Healey started running vicious, poorly argued attack ads against her main opponent, Deval Patrick. These ads destroyed her campaign and they made Rudy look bad by proxy, for backing such a goddam moron.

Giuliani running as an independent would be really awesome. A dissociation from the Republican party would boost his support as well as makings his stance on necessary repairs to our policies seem more reliant.

RIP Hacker.
