I've been wanting to start a topic on this for a while, but every time I do, I end up gushing and writing whole damned novel on how awesome it is. The visuals and music are both top-notch, but the favorite thing about it is that I love how the game tells an interesting story without resorting to "OK stop cutscene now." 99% of the narrative is told while the player has complete control over the character. The weapons are all fun, varied, and useful in their own way.

My only complaint would be that it gets tremendously easy if you know how to break it. I figured out the right mix of tonics and upgrades so that almost every swing from my machete was a critical hit. I guess I could have put on more god tributes, but fuck it I guess.
