I'm not sure if this is intentional or what, but when I hover the mouse over "used games" in the caption under Video Games...

Nothing like that showing up for me in either Chrome or Firefox. Kind of looks like some sort of malware.
Edit: Saw you were using IE so I checked it too and didn't see it either, though I did get to answer 5 or 6 stupid first time you've used IE questions.

i had that same thing that Cam had a couple of weeks ago. apparently someone downloaded this plugin/app to chrome & it kept on giving me ads like that. i had to uninstall it from within the app itself.

Yeah, I was using Internet Explorer on my dad's computer, and now I'm using Firefox on my laptop and I don't see anything like that anymore. Weird.

I just got a spam pop-up on the wiki home page. Unsure if browser issue or page issue.

I didn't get anything on IE, Chrome, or Firefox. Though the latter has ablock.
Clear your cache, cookies, temp file, run a malwarebytes scan.

Ran Malwarebytes, Combofix, and SpyBot, and the problem persists.
It is apparently on my end, and it is something called FindGala.

This is fucking obnoxious that we have to keep combating spam like this. Can't we send these spamtards to jail?

That HaoHao or whoever has made a bunch of spam in about five threads in Video Games.
I think it would be a good idea to require the first post of a user have to be approved by an administrator or moderator, or even go further and require approval for newly-registered users. Yes, it's slightly inconvenient for legitimate new users, Syd Lexia and the moderators, but will help keep spam away with maximum effectiveness.
