You'd think so, but it's an extra ~$1200.

Definitely not worth it. Some of that guy's "full collections" are missing quite a few games. If a collection like that was really worth that much money then I would sell mine, which is larger than that and contains just as many sealed and rare items, as well as a lot of stuff that guy does not have.
If he cut the price in half it would still be asking too much. In my opinion the value is more around $150K USD.

Even if it is legit, that's all it's worth? What a waste of time collecting it all.

I don't think it is worth near as much as he is asking either. Yeah it is wonderful that he has most/all of the games for every one of those systems, but it seems like just paying because they are "complete collections" isn't a good reason to buy it. How many of those are actually worth playing and how many are going to sit unplayed because they suck ass? I'm thinking that @om*d is right, that collection is probably only worth a fraction of what he wants for it.

It takes a ton of filler games to get the price where he thinks it is.
I'm interested to see if someone buys it, or if the seller lowers their price. I agree with atom, too. My DIY collecting opinion aside, there has been better collections listed for five figures.

The thing is, a lot of those collectible games are not highly sought after by very many people. The people who would want most of them already have copies. Also, as far as sealed stuff goes, why would you pay hundreds of dollars for a sealed NES game or something of the like when you can get a complete in box, near mint or mint condition copy for a fraction of that price, or just the game itself for a fraction of the mint CIB price?
I have tons of rare games I have tried to sell for what was considered their value, and in most cases, I either sold them for a lot less or they did not sell at all.

I'll sell my collection for $50,000. Granted I probably have less than a hundred games but if this guy can pull this shit off......who knows?

The listing sold for the asking price. I'm very surprised.

My friend and I were having a debate of how much money he made. I argued that he sold it at a loss because the cost of factory sealed games is very high. However, after adding up all the games listed now I am most certainly wrong. Maybe I thought at the time that the seller was selling every game ever made as it sure is hyped in such a manner. Should have sold everything he had. But I suppose the auction winner will end up buying his second massive game listing regardless.
I wonder if he has all the Neo Geo games factory sealed.
