Very nice, I have a 500 gig version of that same drive. As for my latest purchase I bought a 5 liter box of Vella Chardonnay.

I had the same drive and it died a violent death of unknown causes. I had to use a very low-level program to get what I had off. I replaced it with a 2.5" drive of the same size but I have no reason to believe it will fare better just because it has no external power supply.

What program would that be? Just in case that happens to me.

They're trying to help you not plunge further into total geekitude. It's a spinning vortex of shame and lonlieness from which there is no escape.
My latest purchase:

Those drives break a lot, I bought one last year, it worked for like a month. I would plug it in but the light on front would just flicker. Then 4 months later the damn thing just magically works again and I haven't had a problem since. Don't know what caused it but that's something to look out for, I've read similar stories in user reviews for it.

Whatever you do, stay away from the new Western Digital My Passports. WD products are usually good, but I had no clue what they were thinking switching to micro USB. All I ever read about them are people saying they're perfect or the plug is hair-thin and impossible to keep connected reliably.

Well, what I thought was a huge sale turned out to be a computer glitch.
Which is fine. They'd still honor it. But it was... quite popular. So they sold out of a couple things within a few hours. And they had to cancel everything. Sitewide. I guess. Conflicting stories.
They are giving me $35 free. OF course they want me to try to buy the books again. Full price. I politely said go fuckyourself
