Let me tell you a few things about Super:
It's the best superhero movie this year. In fact, it's my favorite movie I've seen this year.
Rainn Wilson is pretty damn good in this movie, the best thing he's done IMO.
Ellen Page is basically as hot as she could be, what with her tight yellow and green costume and all, and she too had a great performance.
The opening title sequence is one of the coolest ones I've ever seen.
It's got Kevin Bacon as the bad guy...KEVIN. BACON.
Liv Tyler is Rainn Wilson's wife in this if you're into her, I'm not a fan but there you go.
Seriously, if for nothing else see this damn movie for Ellen Page in a fucking tight-ass outfit.
Okay, seriously, I thought this was a great movie through and through. If you watch the trailer you'd probably think, "Hey, a funnier version of Kick-Ass." Yes, this movie is much funnier than Kick-Ass, and him beating the shit out of people with a wrench is pretty damn ridiculous and makes you laugh and go "ohhhhh" at the same time. However, underneath all of the comedic moments is a very "real" movie, and for the sake of not wanting to spoil anything I'll stop right there.
So, has anyone see this movie and if so, what did you think of it?
My Thoughts:[SPOILER:2dff74333e]What can I say, this movie was awesome. The part where Frank just beats the dude and his wife for cutting in line is pretty fucked up. That one I laughed at for a second, but then I realized this dude is seriously messed up in the head. I mean, yeah, that was pretty apparent after all the crazy things he saw in his dreams and stuff, but that just solidified it.
Ellen Page x Rainn Wilson "rape" scene. What. The. Fuck? Yeah, so at first it was kinda rape and then he's just like fuck it, I'm kinda into Boltie. That rat bastard is so lucky, that's not a fantasy I had thought of before but damn it if it's not at the top of my list now. The movie was great in its own right, but Ellen Page is trying have sex with this dude, wearing that fucking hot outfit, and SHE SAYS I'M GONNA CUM. OMG. I literally died right then and there and had to be resuscitated shortly after. Basically, that's like my ultimate nerd fantasy now.
Head blown in half: Wow. That was very real and I was really sad when it happened. I mean, I figure she would die (they go in wearing bulletproof vests, kind of a given) but I didn't see half her damn head coming off. And him slamming Michael Rooker's head? Holy shit that was brutal. In fact, this is one of the most brutal movies I've seen (drama wise).
Yeah, I love this movie.[/SPOILER:2dff74333e]
