It goes as badly as expected:

I'm sorry, but anyone who is proud of being "internet famous" deserves to be heckled like that.

And honestly? it was a win-win situation for them: Tron Guy added 15 more seconds to his "fame" (His "talent" was to tell people how he became Tron Guy for crying out loud!); America Got Talent got another untalented hack to make fun of.

And by the way, Jay Maynard, thank you very much for reinforcing the nerd stereotype; it's greatly appreciated... Rolling Eyes

What nerd stereotype? That's really how nerds are.

Where does this wierd mentality come from? We're using the internet right now as one of our social circles? It's not like internet fame is bad, it just means you did something that the mass majority of people enjoyed. Granted I agree he is a very stereotypical geek; however, there's nothing wrong with that. There plenty of internet celeberties which would do fine both in person and on the internet.

Need I remind you the only thing he has done to gain any sort of fame is wear the Tron costume? A "feat" that thousands have done for so long just for the hell of it, yet they never get invited to TV shows for it? And how he expected that "telling people how he became internet famous" would be considered as talent?

To be fair, yes, it was wrong of me to generalize the entire group, since some people did earn their fame via the internet; thing is, like you said, they actually did SOMETHING to earn it, unless looking ridiculous in spandex is some sort of Warholian statement...

Gotta admit it was a fiendish plan on both counts, since that little stunt of his has probably generated a ton of searches to find out who the hell Tron Guy was, so yeah, he once again got yet another 15 minutes of fame.

Nah, that guy's at least catchy:

"Life is a waste of time. Time is a waste of life. Get wasted all the time, and you'll have the time of your life!"
