Talking about toys we never got as kids in Sideway's question of the day thread had me watching some old toy commercials. Some of these are outrageous and makes me wonder if I had brain damage as a child to want some of these things. Others are just hilarious now.

Moon Shoes

Squand

Gak

Hey hey, me and my pop culture-oriented buddy were just talking about Moon Shoes the other day! A different friend of mine had a pair, and those fuckers seriously busted up my feet any time I'd play in 'em.

I also totally forgot about Squand.

I still remember some old Super Soaker commercials starring a sergeant dude:

I used to own one of these:

And I've still got this dude in my room. WARNING: Annoying song has potential to get stuck in your head. Pulsator, Pulsator, Pulsator, Pulsator...Pulsator!

Thunderhorse posted this one in Questions thread that I totally forgot about.

The Song ALWAYS gets stuck in my head.

Crossfire

I always wanted it too and never got it.

As soon as I read "Crossfire" that thing where something hidden way, way back in the unkept depths of one's brain suddenly returns happened.

And I clicked the video anyways. Crossfireâ„¢! Lightning and dystopian future battleground not included.

Gak was awesome, you could encase action figures within it and pretend they were under attack from some sort of Alien Slime!

Man, Moon Shoes looked lame to me when I was 12, and they look ridiculously lame now that I'm 31. Gak was awesome though; I thoroughly remember that commercial. The Crossfire one too has been embedded so deep into my brain that I will forget my friends and family before I forget that.

Creepy Crawlers.

I fucking loved these, although I don't know how many times I burnt my hand touching the metal tray, and I could never get them to look as good as they did in the Commerical. But they were still kick ass.

Hah! I forgot about those Sock'em Boppers!

I'm embarrassed to say I actually owned one of these.

And I fucking Loved these as a kid...

And I owned that exact Skull set as a kid. I remember I got the giant rock mountain playset for Christmas one year too.

Ah, yes, fucking Gak. I remember I got that shit one Christmas at my grandma's house. It never made it out of grandma's house (and barely made it out of grandma's living room rug).

Not a toy per se, but I had a pair of these pieces of shit after seeing them 9000 times on Legends of the Hidden Temple. Worst. Shoes. Ever.

Ah yes, Battle Beasts. Amusing they worked a rock-paper-scissors gimic with tampographics (and later look-through crystals).

Did any of you have these? I had the machete/radio tower and the canteen/carrier.
