Happy memorial Day everyone!
I'm located in Alabama in Walker county which was hit hard with last month's tornado outbreak in my state.
So I wanted to share with you guys some of this pics. Enjoy! Or don't.

Lots of these everywhere. The National Guard had my town on curfew.

That is awful. Those last two pictures especially made me gasp. Glad that you weren't hurt though.

Holy shit, mass destruction more like. That's terrible!

Like Josh said, though, I'm glad you're ok. Welcome to the forums.

Welcome, and I'm so sorry for all of that crap. Closest I've ever come to that kind of destruction was the wildfires we had down here in '04 and '08. Never affected me personally though, thank gosh. I hope the Guard has been helpful and good to you.

Thanks everyone. My house just got a few downed trees that had to be sawed up. More of an annoyance than anything.
The town was powerless and had no phone or internet service for almost 3 days. Also we were on a "boil" alert for our water.
Trying to go get charcoal, ice or any other kind of supply was almost impossible.

Thanks and I know those wildfires can be deadly.
The Guard was cool but I did get stopped by them when I was out 10 minutes past the curfew to get a prescription.

Damn, sorry to see this. Stay safe!

As Schnitzel mentioned, Joplin, Missouri was also hit pretty hard by a recent storm; the death count is currently around 132+.

Man I really feel bad for that town. Just 19 people here died but state wide it was like 239 or something. Joplin had it bad because all 132 of those people died in one concentrated area,it was spread out to different towns/counties here.

Amazing photos. The power of nature is impressive. Glad to hear you are alright.

What is the town/county/state/federal government going to do for those who lost their homes due to damage?

Some people have been offered a place to stay for awhile by some residents that didn't loose their home. Others have received temporary FEMA trailers. Clean up has been slow due to how widespread everything is and I'm sure some places aren't going to even bother to rebuild.
