Saw it on Thursday. It was a HELL of a rehash, but it was still pretty damn funny.

Anybody else see it yet?

Well... I saw it... I would give it 67/100.

If you enjoyed the first movie, you will enjoy the same humor in the second one. The plot is worse, the setup is predictable, the new characters aren't well developed, and the old ones are just a bit more extreme versions of their previous selves.

I laughed sporadically through the film, but ultimately felt like it was trying too hard.

[SPOILER:190c8f37da]They don't explain what happened between Stew and Jade. We are just expected to believe that Lauren is the coolest chick ever and that she is tolerant of the most obnoxious, ridiculous shenanigans ever.

Stew having sex with a she-male is definitely over the top, but isn't really all that funny. It is more sad than it is hysterical.

And Phil seems to be more of a dick than ever in this movie. At least in the first one he was fun. In this one he just seems like a jerk.[/SPOILER:190c8f37da]

Many reviews say that this movie is similar to the first one, or that it is the same movie just in a different location. I disagree. It is the younger jealous sibling of the first movie and every time it tries to be better than its predecessor, it fails. The best parts of the movie were when it wasn't trying so hard.

I probably laughed a handful of times, but overall I felt I wasted my money. It's just not my kind of humor.

watch the first one. you can find some streams of it online thru watch movies.net. if you like it, catch a matinee of part II or just sneak into it.

Jesus Christ, you're all about stealing movies today aren't you, User?

I've never seen it either, but according to my friend, Very Bad Things is the vastly superior Vegas comedy.

I liked it. Maybe not quite as much as the first one, but it's a worthy sequel.

Alan's random quotes are the funniest parts.....like when he refers to the head monk at the monestary as the "Grand High Wizard."

I thought it fucking sucked. There aren't many laughs, it takes them way too long to get to the point where they can't remember anything, and even when they do there aren't nearly as many funny little "mysteries" to figure out like in the first.

I like this brand of humor when it's done right, but it can easily be completely dumb and boring; that's what happened with this sequel. There are a small number of decent laughs, but not nearly as many as the first film. The theater I saw it in was nearly full and yet there were long periods of time (10-15 minutes) where nobody in the entire theater would laugh. It would just be dead silence. It was barely a comedy. I enjoyed the first one, but this one was a waste of time.

Or maybe I just had to get completely wasted to enjoy it. If you don't plan on doing that, save it for a rental.

I'll see it when I can do it for free, but I refuse to pay to see the same movie in theaters twice unless it's really fucking good.

Quote:
Warner Bros. Pictures claim they plan to digitally alter the tattoo on Ed Helms' face for the planned December home video release of "The Hangover Part II" reports THR Esq..

The other month Mike Tyson's tattoo artist, S. Victor Whitmill, filed an injunction to stop the debut of the comedy sequel because of a copyright infringement and unauthorised use of a tattoo he designed which appears on the face of Helms' character throughout the movie.

U.S. District Court Judge Catherine D. Perry dropped the injunction the week of the film's release, saying stopping the release would put too much of a hardship on the studio and thousands of theater owners. She also said Whitmill has a strong chance of succeeding in his lawsuit.

Now, this potentially very costly change on the studio's part means that Whitmill can only claim for what he would have earned in licensing

I hate shit like this, now one of the fucking funny jokes is going to be stupid. Sad
