No kidding. That music fucks with your head. Felt like I was hearing it after having drank a bunch of NyQuil.

Great job on the runs, all. I look forward to seeing level 2.

Save state received. I'll have my state passed on by Monday. (Don't expect it to be too pretty though...Princess on digging levels is gonna be rough. This world is actually one of my favorites though.)

No complaints. You're the one who didn't specify a character or world. :p

Hm. Attempted to record for a couple hours today...for some reason the recording just isn't working for me. The savestates end up fine, but I've played through world 2 a couple times (and 2-1 more than I care to count), and the recording always cuts itself off after about 45 seconds. Anyone else have this issue, or know how it might be fixed/what I'm doing wrong?

Anyway, bed now. Try again tomorrow.

Does the movie playback okay on VirtuaNES? If it does, then it can be worked on later. If not, it's borked, and you need to do it again ( Sad )

If it plays back okay, then go ahead and send the state off to get it moving.

Also, are you using the built-in VirtuaNES recorder? I hear FRAPS doesn't reallyt work well with VirtuaNES

No, I've been using the built in recorder. I learned the hard way with Kirby that Fraps and emus don't get along very well.

I've already replayed it quite a few times actually, and it always cuts off at exactly the same spot, 45 seconds in. No idea why this is. I'll try a couple more times today and fiddle with the settings in case I accidentally broke something, but you might want to tell my standby to be prepared. Unless I can get this working, I might just have to sit out until the next colab project Sad

Which video? The .avi, or the emulator movie?

Also, you don't happen to have any buttons set to both Alt and S, do you?

Oh, sorry--the emulator movie itself. It doesn't play back in the emu, and when I try to convert it, I only get the aforementioned 45 seconds.

Alt and S...good question. I don't *think* so. I'll have to check that as soon as I get home. (I play with a USB d-pad and don't use the keyboard.)

Then something went wrong with the movie file. I'd say you're kind of stuck with rerecording it one more time, but if you're not up for it, I'll cover you.

Okay. I've tried re recording several times and it just isn't happening. I dunno if my computer just doesn't like this emulator or what. Im so sorry Usa. You'll have to count me out til next time. Sad.

If and when I do figure out the issue I'll post it for anyone else who might run into this in the future.

EDIT: I tried with Fraps just for fun and you're right, it's no good on emulators. I do have about ten save states you can have though, if that makes any difference...my best has 8 lives. *shrug*

Yeah, I had time to do this 3 weeks ago when I signed up. Now I do not, I thought it would move a little faster. Someone can take over my spot, sorry.

Scratch my earlier statement, my laptop (apparently) has a few good kicks left. I'm working on it now just in case. Will have that to you in a few minutes... hopefully.

Um, Drew, thanks for staying around, but I haven't sent out the save-states for World 3 yet, so...relax. I'll do that tonight.

I'll reply to your other question later as well.

Okay, World 2 can be uploaded now. I will send off the states for World 3 as soon as the people involved send me their e-mail addresses.

For the record, the winner was Fernin with 11 lives. His save state is a little weird, but it does work alright. Sehk had 10, Alow had 9, and I clocked in with 8.

So, Drew can do it after all? Just making sure whether I have to work on this right now.

Who won the World 1 part? Either I am not looking right, or it hasn't been announced.
