How much would you pay for a year of music?

If you could listen to any songs, as often as you like, wherever, whenever, and on as many devices as you own, what would that be worth? I'm talking about unlimited music, including new releases and every old song that exists.

So, if you had to pay monthly or annually, how much would it be worth to you?

For the sake of this conversation assume that the music would work on any modern device that had internet capability. Cell phones, TVs, computers, etc...

$10/month seems fair. They'd have to make it cheap enough to de-incentivize the number of ways I could score any song from any era for free.

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us.

If the catalogue was endless and the UI was exceptional, I'd pay $5/mo. Since it takes just a little work to get this stuff for free(not even illegal), it would have to be a great system for me to pay for it.

No, I don't think I will fuck Stummies.

I spend about 1000$ in a year. That is, to lp's and cd's.

For unlimited amount of music that can be streamed from anywhere, maybe 200$ - assuming that they've got pretty much everything I'm interested in. Spotify is almost there, but it needs to improve its selection. Most new releases that interest me, are not in Spotify, unfortunately.

If we're talking about unlimited downloads, then the price should be lot higher. I think that works better, if you just need to buy the album in a digital form.

If they can craft a service that plays what I want to hear, I'd be willing to pay quite a bit.

This doesn't seem to be the case though. Good punk especially is a bitch to find on services like these.
