I don't recall if we've ever had a Motown thread so I was just curious if anyone here likes it and wanted to share. I've always liked a lot of Motown stuff. I've never really been able to share it with my friends because they're just not into it so I thought I might share some with you guys. I grew up with a little bit of it but most of it I discovered on my own. This is one of my favorite songs in general and it's also one of the saddest songs in my opinion. A lot of that comes from knowing Tammi Terrell died of a malignant brain tumor at the age of 24.

The song was originally writen by Stevie Wonder for her. A decade after she died, Stevie did the song himself as a tribute to her. I like Stevie's version a lot too, I think it's a good song to get down with a woman to but the tricky part is finding one who's into good music these days.

If anyone else likes Motown, feel free to share.

Shake it, Quake it, Space Kaboom.

Motown is basically the soundtrack to my early childhood. I have such a soft spot for it and was recently given my uncles record collection, which consists of 90% early Motown and R&B from the early 60's to early 70's. It is all fantastic and puts me in a better mood than any other form of music can.

I can definitely second that. My parents would play a lot of Motown as well as classic rock whenever we were kids, especially my father. I'd have to say Ronnie Spector is my favor singer from that era, hands down.

Who likes role-playing games? Me. Way too goddamn much.
