I can name at least ten themes I like more than Wily 1 (MM2). King's Tower, albeit the GBA version, just so happens to be one of them.

I will say one thing about the King music: It's a much more suitable stage one castle theme than MM2's Wily 1. Wily 1 is more suited for the last stage, or an equally "shit just got real" situation.

I voted for King's Fortress because I am tired of Wily's Fortress 1 from MM2 getting credit as the best MM theme, when, in my opinion, there are so many more themes that are far better in the series.

I like it because it goes so well with the stage. Not so much King 1, but King 2 is an -epic- fucking stage, and the music fits so well.

It might be for you, but not for me. Everybody is voting for the underdog just for the sake of it? The other theme is good too, but it is nowhere near Wily stage 1 from Mega Man 2 which should destroy it in the polls imo.

It may be overplayed, but I like it much more than the King's Fortress theme, which just sounds boring not in-game.
