Posting for no reason other than I find it amusing someone would actually take the time to do this.

I'm pretty sure I got someone at 719 before. I might not have entered an area code, but that automatically redirects you to your current area code right?

It was funny. First time we called, they said it was a Lawyers office. Next time we called, she said it was the sherrif's office to scare us.

I have to admit I spent some time doing this when I found a cellphone on the side of the road before locating the person who owned it and getting it back to them. I wasn't nearly as comprehensive, though. Think I tried maybe ten to fifteen variations.

Who likes role-playing games? Me. Way too goddamn much.

Back in the day, you didn't have to enter an area code for local calls. Now, you do. I think some cell phones will automatically insert the area code if you just enter 7 digits.

Update (12/13): Some people don't know what the hell this is, because I posted it on the snopes.com message board (they know what this is about) and it spread unexpectedly. There is an 80s song by Tommy Tutone called "Jenny (867-5309)" about a guy finding a girl's name and number on a wall and he wants to call it. The song led to telephone lines getting jammed when the song first came out, which led to the rumor that telephone companies don't give the number out or discontinued every 867-5309 out there. As you can see, I proved this wrong. The numbers are area codes.

Haha that's great. Too bad the Jenny in my hometown's area code was disconnected. It was cool to see how many people had a sense of humor about it and that of all the numbers, there was only one fuckstick who was angry.
