I know that it's a little thing, but our chihuahua has been pretty sick lately, and we're taking her to the vet to see what's wrong with her today. She was vomiting pretty bad yesterday, but she got better as the day progressed, and she's been really congested lately. I usually wouldn't ask for this, but my wife is already on semi-shaky mental ground (I won't go into details, but it's a neurochemical imbalance thing) and she's had that dog since the 4th grade. It was pretty much her sole solace through highschool, as where she grew up wasn't very friendly to people like her (she's half Mexican), and I don't know what'll happen if there's something really wrong, but I don't doubt it'll be bad bad. So please keep your fingers crossed or whatever, and thanks in advance.

I said I would, so here's the update: apparently she's got a heart murmur, level 4-5, and she's going to be going on medication for that and we'll see how things go. No heartworms, thank God. Thanks for any well-wishes/prayers/happy thoughts you sent.

Yeah, the wife only works half-days, so she got her to the vet first thing once she was done. It's going to probably be a little expensive, but it's worth it.

We just found out our cat is diabetic, now I have to get up all early and stab him with a needle every day, plus he just pissed on my pile of clean laundry. I hate that cat sometimes.

Egh, cat piss never comes out of clothes. Our roommate's cat (our cat's cock-eyed sister) wasn't fixed when he moved in with us and she sprayed all over the place. It sounds strange, but try soaking them in ginger ale and then running them through the wash, the dryer, and the wash again. And you can take solace, I guess, in knowing you're causing him a small amount of pain every day, right? Still, sorry to hear about your cat.

Calm down, the cat probably didn't do it maliciously. It's easier to get new clothes than to go to court for animal cruelty.

Well I don't know about that, the laundry hamper and the cat box are in totally different areas. Would peeing on him in retaliation be a bit much? This Is A Joke

Both of my Mom's Min-pins are Diabetic. She gets up at 6am to give them a shot, then again a shot at 6pm.

They're on a special diet, and due to the insulin, both dogs ended up going blind.

I mentioned way back in a thread about them, and that she uses peppermint and orange sent to let them smell their way around the house.

I can't remember which is which now, but I think its Orange on Chair legs, and wall boarders, and Peppermint on their waterbowl, dog door, and "good" things like that.
