We touched on this previously when we first brought you the latest cover of the magazine, but as it was such an interesting little tidbit, we thought we’d expand upon it. Which tidbit exactly? The one where Michael Bay admitted Transformers 2 “was crap”. That one. |

How do you argue with the movie's director when they claim it is crap?

Meh, like I trust Michael Bay's opinion about anything.

A better title for this thread would be "Michael Bay caved; Now EVERYONE thinks Transformers 2 is crap"

Sadly, this isn't the case. I have a friend who has absolutely zero taste in anything (though she just claims I'm intolerant to things I don't like and think are incredibly stupid ). She says that's it's just my opinion. I ask 30 people with here and they all say the same thing. She still refuses to admit that she likes anything that she ever saw and is easier to entertain than a Golden retriever puppy with ADD.

More likely, he's trying to sell people on the idea that the new one won't be like the second one. I think the problem I have is that these could be really good movies, especially the first movie...you can see glimpses of it, but it never really breaks through. I really wonder if Bay is just lazy when it comes to that, because it's not like Transformers is necessarily a hard formula, but he focuses on so much other crap when he shouldn't be. I enjoyed the first movie for what it was, but at the same time I was disappointed he didn't go all out. I won't even comment on the second movie...that was just an insult to cinema.

You know what would make a good Transformers movie? A movie about Transformers, not Shia's pussy character, not Megan Fox's ass, the giant robots the series is supposed to be about.

Before she left the franchise, that was exactly the plot of 3.
