I have had this game since it came out, and I have always loved it, however I have never managed to beat it thanks to that fucking sending you back to level 6-1-shit in the end which always pisses me so much of that I ragequit. However I recently read on the net that the different forms of the last boss actually don't reappear if you have already beaten them, encouraging me to try again to beat the game. So, today I was determined to beat it, and spent my entire friday afternoon neglecting my girl and child so that I could finally beat this game.

After a few hours I came to the last boss (which is actually not as bad as I remembered), and naturally, I was rusty on how to beat him so I died and went back to 6-1. Determined to beat the game, i played my way back to him, and beat the first incarnation on what was now my second try, just to get my ass kicked by the second form and its stupid fireballs. After advancing through the last stages again, I came to the boss and found out that if you have already beaten the first incarnation, you don't get your health restored on the second incarnation, wtf? since he swiftly killed me again and I went back to 6-1, I did what every sane person would do, and ragequitted. So I think I finally have to admit defeat to this devil of a game, which means beating it on an emulator instead. So I wondered if anybody has a save state of the final boss? I am really in the mood to beat it, just not in the mood to play through the hole game again.

Game Genie actually does not help, as there is no level select as I know of. However, I did finally beat it earlier today using an emulator (and saving before the final boss sequence). It was actually quite easy when I had unlimited tries, however I am of course ashamed that I had to use such a method.

Oh well, on to Ninja Gaiden 2 I guess Smile

And probably never will as long as you only get one chance on that bitch of a second to last boss (and then gets sent back three levels).
