Just wanted to plug a game that I've been involved with for a while and I've enjoyed quite a lot called Emerald City Reborn. If anyone here plays Vampire: The Masquerade, you'd probably have a bit of fun on this one. It's currently got about 30-35 players and the STs are great at running it. You have to sign up to read through the story and stuff, but it's worth a look at least. It's set in modern-day Seattle about two years after the Camarilla quashed the Sabbat presence there and retook the city.

Funny you post about this, as "caitiff" was today's A-Word-A-Day e-mail. It's been some time, are the Gangrel considered Camarilla or Independent at that point?

They're considered Independent, but there's still a lot of stalwarts or ones that just don't care either way that stay with the Camarilla.

Be nice if I could take a look at it before I decided to join or not.

Eh, it looks interesting, I'm just not sure I have the mindset to play right now. Besides, they don't allow my clan.

The Ravnos are okay, but the whole Gypsy thing really irked the crap out of me, considering anyone who's remotely familiar with Roma culture knows they wouldn't have anything to do with a vampire. The transfer to a more Indian-based background was pretty nice when they revised the clanbook.

I was really hoping this would be a link to a Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines mission pack or mod. Something, anything to give me more of Bloodlines. That game was way too awesome and way too short.

Still cool, but I personally am disappointed. Not your fault, though.

Did the Assemites really get brought in to the Cam. when the Gangrel were kicked out? That seemed like such bullroar.

The Gangrel, by and large, decided to quit the Camarilla when their Justicar did. The Assamites went through a schism prompted by the awakening of the Methuselah Ur-Shulgi, primarily because he took the Path of Blood back towards a more pagan standpoint, whereas theirs was more tied to Islam.

Reason to go Boo: Gangrel leave and Assamites join.

Why Boo?: Imagine you're trying to have a civilized poker game; the grizzled cowboy leaves, and his chair is taken by a ninja. A ninja who hates poker, wants to kill everyone else at the table, and is really well equipped to kill everyone else at the table.

I imagine the quality of poker at that table is going to go rapidly down-hill.

(to be clear: poker game = the camerilla; grizzled cowboy = gangrel; killer ninja = assamites)

Reason to go Yay: Kickle Kubickle!!
