So I'm thinking of getting a SwanCrystal, the final incarnation of Bandai's WonderSwan. Since the system was only released in Japan, this severely limits the games I'll be able to play, since I don't know Japanese.
I definitely want both Guilty Gear Petits, what else would be playable to someone who knows no Japanese?

You probably already have Megaman and Bass on GBA, so I really don't know other than Golden Axe. But you probably own that on something too. My knowledge of Wonderswan is super limited. Sorry, man.

Klonoa: Moonlight Museum is all I can think of. I've heard there are hardly any shmups on it, which is a shame.

The Rockman and Forte game on wonderswan isn't the same as the SNES/GBA game, so even if you have the other one, it may be worth checking out depending on how dedicated of a fan you are.

Pretty sure there was a Demon's Crest game or something like it released for the thing.

Square games are text heavy and would be impossible for me to play. I bet you didn't do well on the Reading Comprehension section of your aptitude test of choice.

It's a completely different game? You might ask what the difference between Mega Man and Mega Man 2 is. It's got a different plot, different levels, etc.

Yeah it was a sequel I think.
And Guilty Gear Petit was my first thought when I saw the title. I originally thought of getting a wonderswan just to play as Fanny, but I got a PS3 instead. I think there was a NeoGeo Battle Colloseum game on there, too.

I've never played it. That's why I was asking. Earnest curiosity.

Ugh, why would you want this? There are so many other things you could be doing instead of playing this horrible looking stuff. Learn the trumpet or something.

Rockman and Forte WS is not better than the original at all.
the EXE games are decent enough, they're basically the plot of the original Battle Network told in a classic-style game.

Probably a stupid question, but does the WonderSwan Crystal have a luminous screen?

Other than the atrocious frame-rate, I think it looks neat. Now that I think about it, Mr. Syd, a lot of the games I've seen on the WonderSwan have less-than-awesome frame-rates, so keep that in mind.
Also, a remake of Final Fantasy Legend was released on WonderSwan that looks friggin' cool, but sadly there's never been any kind of translation for it, fan-based or otherwise.
