Election coverage aside, SNL has been hurting for quite some time now.
My question is, when do we stop calling it an attempt at humor and start just labeling it as pathetic.
Both videos are PG13, but probably NSFW.
Funny:
Pathetic:
A part of me is hoping that some new talent will save SNL, but sadly the other part is just wishing it would go away at this point.

I agree with pretty much everything said already. But you have to admit "WE'RE GETTING A CALCULATAH! OH MAY GAWD WE ARE GOING TO BE ABLE TO DIVIDE SOOO FAST!" was fucking hilarious.

Syd, that clip definitely had some funny moments, but it was an unfair use of Christopher Walken.
Marine, much like the people in the video, I wished myself dead while watching it. Thank god I watched Syd's video after it, Christopher Walken made me want to live again.

3 words come to my mind when I watch SNL: Tim and Eric.
<TheFlamingSchnitzel> Didn't your mom teach you not to punch girls?

Laser Cats rocks my world. The first one was probably my favorite and very closely followed by the 3rd one. Whenever Justin Timberlake hosts the show is a lot funnier then normal.

I hate to revive this old of a topic, but since an actress just dropped the F bomb on live TV I thought I would. I laughed my ass off. Her expression after she said it was priceless. This is the first SNL I have watched in over a year, and I am glad I did.

Personally, it just SCREAMS "not a big deal" to me. She obviously realized she made a mistake. It'd be pretty stupid for the FCC to get crazy over a quick "fuckin'" during a show that's on at midnight.
I thought the Grady Wilson sketch was actually funny that writer is nuts. And people went into Snl expecting fox to suck and if she was less than perfect people would be pissy.

I thought the Megan Fox episode sucked, it reminded me of when SNL was constantly bad a few years ago. All the sketches went on waaaaay too long and weren't funny enough. And the digital short was shit too.

Thats beacuse FOX hired and fired cast members like crazy the past few seasons. They had cast members who were fired after 3 or 4 shows FFS
On top of that we may never see Season based DVD releases beyond the 2 release that there have been.
Warner Home Video released The Complete First Season of MADtv in 2004. However, due to poor sales, the release of the second season was cancelled (despite a preview for it in the first season DVD). MADtv: The Best of Seasons 8, 9, and 10 was released in 2005, featuring the most popular sketches from those seasons.
Lange stated that his lowest point of cocaine use occurred during a shooting of the MADtv sketch "Babewatch" (a parody of Babe and Baywatch), in which he played Babe the pig as a lifeguard. Because the sketch involved going through hours of make-up so as to transform the comedian into a pig, he snorted cocaine in his car in full pig make-up during a break in the shooting of the sketch. Upon returning from the shoot, he passed out in his hotel room, awakening to find he had defecated in his bed.[15] The cast and fanbase of The Howard Stern Show now refer to this incident as "The Pig Story." During the second season of MADtv, his stint with the show came to a dramatic end. After a cocaine binge, cast and crew members attempted to have an intervention for him. Lange fled the studio running through streets and backyards with his co-workers chasing after him. The chase ended in a supermarket, where he was arrested. Lange attempted to punch one of the police officers. He was sentenced to time served and probation.[14] Lange began psychiatric counseling and inpatient drug rehabilitation. However, the producers decided not to renew his contract for a third season.[16]

That really sounds less like him getting help as him running away from help and then likely being forced by a judge into counseling.
I wonder if SNL will be next . . . no, no. It's NBC's cash cow. NBC is going to keep that show on nomater how unfunny it gets.
Links, pics, vids . . . I shall post these when given the chance

That's been true for basically every season. The only real exception to that rule I can think of is the mid-90's seasons with Farley, Sandler, and Spade. They came up with a lot of good concepts, and actually had good actors with Spade and Hartman being the straight guys to Sandler and Farley's over-the-top schticks. Hell, the series wasn't even consistently good until Eddie Murphy got on.
So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

And those seasons will NEVER be put in syndication. Minus a best of eddie here and there.
