Well, that's also super old.
There's been 5 years of content since that.
In no particular order:
Zelda: A Link To Love
Make Love The Contra Way
Pac-Nihilism
Revolution X
All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros.
10 Things On The NES I Didn't Need To See (which incidentally, went quasi-viral right before Christmas)
50 NES Quotes Every Gamer Should Know
Mega Man 3 Sucks
The "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" Series
Girls of the NES

Thanks Syd. I would have thought one of the Top 100's would be your favorites. And Vold, I saw the Retrospective. He listed Revolution X as his favorite. Would that still be your absolute number 1?

I dunno, maybe. I mean, I picked Revolution X as the subject of my launch article for a reason. Most people, when they review Revolution X, the review boils down to little more than "heh heh, Aerosmith sucks, heh heh, this game sucks, heh heh heh". And neither is true. The light gun genre isn't the most fair or exciting genre, but as far as pre-House of the Dead light gun games go, Revolution X is great. It's colorful, it's funny, and it's filled with shitloads of secrets. And honestly, it's lot more fun than the much more highly regarded T2 arcade game that runs off the same engine. Is it kitschy and completely ridiculous? HELL YES. But damned if it doesn't make you smile and compel you to finish it.
So my Revolution X review basically set the tone and style for what was to come. Yes, I make fun of the game a lot. But you can also tell that I don't hate it.

The Adventure Island article is one of my all time favorites, as is Pac Nihilism, but shit they're all good.

Awesome that you took the time to give some thoughtful responses here Syd. Very cool.
My single favorite article will always be the 50 NES quotes one, I think. However, I also love the Mega Man bosses, MK Fatalities and AYAOtD.

My favorite Syd article is the fifty NES quotes one, since it's awesome and it's the first one I ever read. Yay!
My other favorites are, in no order whatsoever:
The Mystery House article
Zelda: The Link To Love
Make Love The Contra Way
The 'Are You Afraid of the Dark?' series of articles
10 Things on the NES That I Didn't Need To See
Also, I think we need a new SydLexia.com retrospective article.

Yeah, the link was all over Twitter for some reason, and I think a few websites. It was pretty cool. Not sure why exactly, but I do enjoy traffic.

My favorite is "Dumb Guy Stuck in a Video Game"
and my favorite quotes are
"the drum makes 'em cum, but even the clarinet gets 'em wet"
-link to love
"Sometimes, an enemy will drop a pill when it's defeated. Now, I don't know about the rest of you, but when I see unmarked prescription drugs on the ground, I shove that son of a bitch in my mouth and dry-swallow it quick as can be. And that's why I'm not allowed outside of my house without written permission from the county sheriff's office. "

Gotta say A Link to Love and the All Night Nippon one
... the latter being largely because I read it before anyone and told Syd to hurry and finish or I'd leak it.
fun fun times
