Fuck. I missed my college payment deadline by a couple minutes and supposedly they'll let me know by Monday whether my registration will be deleted or not. Does anyone know what has to happen bad or good which will result in my registration being deleted or kept?

Minutes? Sheesh. Strict.
Show up first thing Monday morning with a check. That will help your chances.

You're the third person I've heard with that problem today. Mine isn't due till January 14th, why does everyone else have to do theirs so early? Now I'm all paranoid that I've misunderstood something.

It was an online payment. The deadline was at 4 and right when the time turned 4:01, the site no longer let me into the payment area. Bullshit.

Should have immediately made a phone call. Or, you know, done it earlier.
Anyways, the sooner you take care of it, and the more effort you put into it personally, the better chance you have of getting in.

I immediately emailed them. I'm just curious as to what will make them either keep a registration or delete it.

As stated, put every effort possible in, call, email, walk into the admissions office, anything that would help is fair game. I imagine it can be sorted, as they wouldn't mind your money.

Well honestly now, if you couldn't take it seriously enough to make the time to register for it before the deadline, what's to say that you'll take school seriously in general, and aside from taking your money, why should they waste their time with you when they have so many other students that obviously care about their education?
That's the way they probably see it.

Unless porn has lied to me I'd recommend boning a teacher, problem solved.

I'm not sure about all colleges, but most, if not all of the colleges have a deadline in January, but you want to apply by December 1st to be eligible for as many scholarships as possible. But yeah Pineapple, that really sucks man.

Is this your first semester in College? If not they will probably just put a hold on your account and it won't be lifted until they recieve payment. If this is your first semester chances are you'll either get to make the payment Monday or be charged a late fee. All schools are different but typically they work with the potential students to get them enrolled since chances are they are not at full capacity in a Fall to Spring semester (since people are graduating or dropping out and no one has graduated highschool) and they really want your money.

I agree FNJ. 100% my fault. Just hoping for a miracle.
This is not my first semester. I've been going to school for a couple semesters now.

I was a day late on paying for my college and they let me pay since I'm an adorable little kid... so I guess it really comes down to, are you adorable?

I'll be able to pay on Monday. I'm taking three classes and there are less than 5 seats available in each. I'll have to bust serious "refreshing" ass and try to sign up before everyone else who made a late payment.

Hey Pineapple, even if you aren't able to get one of those seats in the classes you need (for whatever reason), don't sweat it too hard. Just crash the class (that is, show up to the first day of class even though you aren't registered) and chances are the Prof will have an add code for you. Or at the very least, they'll be able to suggest another class you could take that meets the same requirement. But at least for me personally, I've never crashed a class I wasn't able to get an add code for by the end of the second week of school. So don't panic either way. Schools make the registration process sound all scary and hardassed, but in truth there are ways around everything, and ways you will be able to make it all work out. Promise.

I have never been late to register for my classes myself but we do have class crashers so it works if you do it for the most part. There are always 3-5 people who register and then never show up here, but this is a small school and they actually do attendance in a few classes. The class crashers usually get in a week or so after class starts and these others never show. If not there is always next semester.

Made it. I was able to re-register AND pay last night at 12:01 midnight and I easily got into all three classes even though the site was having a ton of hiccups coming back live.

If you ever have an issue like this again, where you are unable to register for a "full" class. You can usually e-mail the corresponding Professor and ask if there is any chances he can make room for one more. Typically they will let you in, and if it's an online class they almost always allow it up to a certain number of additional students. Typically Professors know they will have a few people drop during the course of the year and most times it is just a room space issue, but Professors also realize that perfect attendance from the class is a myth.
