Everyone knows about how glitches are extremely bad and unhelpful. But, in some games, there are glitches that can be really fun or interesting.
To use the game with some of the more popular ones as an example, Ocarina of Time is just riddled with them. I discovered one myself, actually, with the false doors in the Fire Temple.
Does anyone else think that certain glitches can make a game more interesting (once you've beaten it, of course)?
An example from OoT: the Swordless Link glitch is extremely popular. It lets you use items on Epona (it's referred to as the Master Glitch sometimes, because from it you can do a LOT of other glitches).

I rarely go out of my way to cause glitches but sometimes they can be fun, though usually they are of the type that leave me wanting to scream at the game.
The only glitches I recall purposefully causing were pokemon red/blue ones to get safari zone pokemon where I could actually catch them without the stupid rock/food safari zone crap. Seriously whoever came up with that method of catching them should be shot.
To be honest I wasn't even aware that OoT had glitches, because they never occurred to me in all the time I spent playing it.

Pokemon Red/Blue also has the classic MISSINGNO glitch that lets you catch Mew.
Resident Evil (Gamecube) had a glitch that let Jill get infinite grenade launcher shells.
My favorite Mario glitch is Small Fiery Mario from Super Mario Bros. 1.
Sonic 1 had a glitch where if you created a giant ring with the debug code and entered it, you'd crash the game.

Oh, man. Good times. Of course, my game was fried after I stored it in my PC, but... it was still fun.

I never did that one, or the World -1. But I did enjoy the one in Mario 64 where you run up to the top of the castle and fall into that false graphic so that you fall into the area directly behind the castle door. I poked all sorts of holes in that game.
My all time favorite glitches involve breaking out of conventional game level parameters so that you can explore the surrounding world. Like in Halo 3, I would skirt the edges of the kill barrier looking for a way through, and once there, I spent hours just looking around. I always did want to be an explorer.

Bomberman bonus levels: Not sure if it really was a glitch but you could bomb yourself and in a constant rate of immolation destroy a ton of baddies. It also slowed the game down...

In Goldeneye, you could kill some characters you weren't supposed to after completing objectives.

The secret worlds in Metroid were kind of fun, or so I hear.
In SMB1, I always kind of liked getting the axe and dying to Bowser at the same time.

As Super Mario, touch Bowser and the axe at the same time. If done right, you'll flash and the shrinking noise will be heard, but you won't actually shrink. Since the game thinks your small now, the game will give you Magic Mushrooms in the power-up blocks. However, because the Mushroom is simple programmed to change your mode, you will become Small Mario. Power-up blocks will now give you Fire Flowers. Get one, and you become Small Fiery Mario. Since there is no animation for Small Mario throwing fireballs, he will morph into Super Mario to throw them.

We did that one by accident as kids, freaked us all out.
What about jumping past the pole and getting stuck in infinite castle wall land? There's a boring one.

I did that one time, didn't think it was boring. In fact, I thought it was extremely deep and thought provoking.
In my own special way, of course.

It that even possible without a Game Genie? I know it is in SMB2J, but all the levels where you can do it in that one have either warp zones or backwards warp zones.

I hate glitches right now. Fallout Vegas is glitching so bad on me it makes me think no one ever played this game before they released it.

Not at all. In SMB1, there's a level that has a jump pad somewhere. You carry it to the exit and use it to vault over the flag pole (however, in all versions that were released past the original NES, there's an invisible barrier you can't pass).

Yes! But if you can, you obviously play video games too much. You can do them in some levels (World 1-3 I think is one of them). Try looking on YouTube.

They can be if you have a general idea of where you are heading as you move from screen to screen. sometimes you could get stuck in a wall and have to restart.

In super smash bros brawl if you get tingle to pop out of an assist trophy and zoom in on you at the same time you gather all the dragoon pieces the game will wig out and all of a sudden switch to a total depth angle, where you are viewing you character's back as you go along the stage like in a 3rd person shooter, it's actually pretty cool, I pulled it off once on the bridge of eldin stage.
Also, on the bridge of eldin if you use jiggly puff's final smash in the empty bridge gap and the bridge starts to reconstruct (and finishes) while you are doing your final smash growing animation you will pop to the top as giant jiggly puff and fall down, when you get back up you are fully controllable and huge, if you use "Giant Mode" and have super mushrooms everywhere you can get so big you cover the entire screen.

Oh, fuck. That's right. And that's what I get for getting World and Brothers confused.
What I meant is, there's a level with a jump pad at the end or something. All I know is that I used it to hop the pole once.

I am actually part of a glitching community for Castlevania SOTN. Myself, as well as others, have been finding new glitches and exploiting them for fun in SOTN since it was released. New glitches are being found in that game to this day. I am too tired to explain in depth right now, so look it up... it's legendary in terms of glitching. You can skip bosses, become invisible, get extra map percentage, reset the map(kind of) and collect multiple items and more. I find and exploit glitches in every version there is of that game.

I was gonna mention this...the only one I've ever heard of was the Sword Brothers one to break through the wall, and I also have pulled off getting into the area where the Underground Garden was supposed to begin by quickly sliding left before the gate closes as Richter. There a list or videos or anything of this stuff?

When I was a kid I used to slap game genie on SMB3 and try swapping letters out on the codes, got some pretty weird results, but for ever cool one there were like ten game breaking ones.
