So it's a week till the new season kicks off, and I'm stoked. I haven't had anything funny to watch since the last season ended, so heres hoping to a great one. Here is a link to a New York Times article interviewing Matt and Trey.

I honestly haven't watched TV besides wrestling for about 2 months. I didn't even know it was coming back, but sort of figured since it's around this time they start up again.

As far as I'm concerned, last season was a major disapointment. I think I liked maybe 3 episodes overall, and while it's still consistant as a whole, they're treading very close to Simpsons territory. I really think in order for them to continue to be cutting edge, they need to stay with current events stuff, even though I know a lot of people don't like it that much. Personally, I do and think episodes like the 2008 election was a major cop out and this last season had barely anything current at all. You can only put the characters through so much nonsense before it wears thin, and Cartman and Butters have been wearing thin for the last 3 years. Providing current event topics allow for the show to take the stress off coming up with crap for characters to do and offers a true insight to what is going on in the world. I know I'm in the minority here, but I really hope season 14 doesn't repeat what we got last year.

Last season was amazing. I'm not sure what you were watching, but it was one of the best seasons that they have ever had. Fishsticks and the F Word were two of the funniest episodes of any show I have ever seen.

I think you should go back and rewatch Season 13.

"The Ring" -started off promising, but I would've changed a few things, I really didn't need Mickey Mouse in there

"The Coon" - had it's moments but not memorable or that funny

"Margaritaville" - pretty decent...great ending

"Eat, Pray, Queef" -ugh

"Fishsticks" -great episode, no complaints

"Pinewood Derby" -one of the worst and stupidest episodes ever

"Fatbeard" -decent for what it was

"Dead Celebrities" -not the way they should've kicked off the new episodes

"Butters' Bottom Bitch" -outside of the cop, I didn't like this at all, Butters as a pimp was about as funny as a toddler swearing

"W.T.F." -being a wrestling fan, I just can't overlook their misconception of several things

"Whale Whores" -alright, nothing special

"The F Word" -great episode, no complaints

"Dances with Smurfs" -ugh...Cartman just wears thin at times

"Pee" - left me with a "that's it?" feeling towards the entire season

Believe me, I watch every episode at least 3 times. Last season was the weakest by far. And I know that's an unpopular opinion, or at least it was when I was posting about it before but while Cartman and Butters are two of my favorite characters, they are way too exposed, especially Butters who is constantly outshining the 4 main boys, and yes I know Kenny really shouldn't count, but I still feel as long as he's around, they should maybe throw him a bone once or twice, like the Heavy Metal parody, that was genius yet not topical. I can't recall how many Butters episodes there were last season, but I know he kept constantly coming up. Again I can't stress enough the idea that they can do more with the 4 regular boys, possibly even less with Cartman since he's basically done everything there is to do besides murder, unless you count the 1776 flashback, which I don't. Again, it wears thin when it's all about "what crazy stuff Cartman will do this week that will piss Kyle off?". And they have laid off that a bunch, but just throw the story over to Butters.

Again, just my opinion.

Yeah, that was a great season. I think you are just running out of stuff to bitch about, buddy.

The Ring - You liked it except Mickey Mouses appearance, fair enough.
The Coon - One of my favorite episodes ever, and one of the highest rated.
Margaritaville - Not the funniest of the season, but I still laughed my tits off.
Eat, Pray, Queef - Just so funny,
Fishsticks - Satire at its finest.
Pinewood Derby - Weak, but still funny enough to watch.
Fatbeard - Great.
Dead Celebrities - Again, perfect satire. Definitely in my top ten of all time.
Butters Bottom Bitch - Pretty hiliarious, I just love any episode featuring butters.
WTF - Being a wrestling fan, I can't but help but laugh that you don't understand humor or satire.
Whale Whores - Cartman never fails to make me laugh hysterically, and this episode delivers.
The F Word - Damn near flawless episode.
Dances with Smurfs - Fucking great. I'm running out of ways to say an episode was almost perfect.
Pee - Not the best, but by no means bad.

I'm not bitching for no reason. Like I said, if they spread shit out more, it would be better in the long run for however long they continue the show. The last thing I want to see from South Park, is for it to turn into the Simpsons. When 3/4's of the episodes are dedicated to 2 characters, which the formula is almost always the same, Cartman almost always gets foiled and Butters never really loses his innocence. And believe me, I can handle satire, the wrestling episode would've been better fit if they used it 5 years ago.

I have to agree with GP, last season was awesome. The only episode that wasn't up to par for me was "The Coon," and it wasn't BAD, it just wasn't up to the level of the rest of the season. Other than that, I thought just about every episode was fantastic. It ended up making me look ridiculous, because just about every episode ended up being one of my top three new favorites, until the next week when they topped themselves again.

Here's hoping 14 continues the trend!

"Pee" and "Margaritaville" were a little slow at times, but otherwise, I loved last season.

How can anyone say South Park isn't consistant? Last season was great!! I would never say that SP is falling into Simpsons territory. That's absurd! I can not WAIT for season 14!

I'm not saying it will happen, but it very well can. This is still my favorite show on TV, and I always have high expectations for it.

"Ginger kids" was one of the best episodes they've done, I hope they don't ruin it by going back to it.

I am not a ginger (and that episode was the first time I heard that term), but I can kind of see how that episode could start dumb, young kids bullying people that are. South Park kind of created an issue where there really wasn't one before. Redheads were never looked at as different or bullied when I was in school. When I hear of schools having kick a ginger day I find it sad.

On the flip side that kid kind of brought it on himself. And the fact that he continues to do it boggles the mind. I still pity him though, he is still a kid.

"Ginger kids" aren't just redheads. You need red hair, freckles, and pale skin (the redheads are just "daywalkers".)

And no, South park completely invented the term, as far as I know. I'm sure it wasn't to pick on kids who really looked like that or anything, I think it was more to create an "acceptable target" for Cartman to be horrifically prejudiced towards.

Then it also invented a reason and term to use against people that meet those traits. When I hear of schools having "kick a ginger day" I have to call bullshit. Sadly, not everyone is intelligent enough to realize Cartman is a prejudiced asshole and is not a role model.

Yeah, but are stupid kids acting like idiots a reason NOT to produce comedy that was both funny, and very anti-prejudice? I don't think we can in good conscience block things based on the way people may misinterpret them (especially kids who, if this didn't exist, would simply find another equally horrible "role model" to follow.)

Yeah, you can't blame stupid kids for missing the point entirely. The episode was a very strong message against prejudice.

That kids have to be stupid about it is unfortunate, but really, Cartman's anti-ginger stuff was so over-the-top and insane I can't believe anyone could take it seriously, and I highly doubt these kids do. Assholes will find any excuse to be mean.

Besides, ginger kids -are- kind of creepy...

I am not suggesting that they should change their style. I did think that episode invented a new form of prejudice that did not exist beforehand though. And that kids life is pretty much fucked at this point. He brought it on himself for the most part, but shit, they didn't need to add to his misery. I think that is pretty fucking low.

To be honest my anger has less to do with the episode itself than the fact they targeted that kid after the fact. Fucking with celebrities is one thing, but fucking with a kid is not acceptable to me. That kids life is ruined.

I'm positive that will make that kid famous, and he will care less about being bullied. No one wants to get near enough to a ginger to punch them, anyways.

If you put yourself out there to be viewed, expect people to criticize, ridicule or make fun of you. That's any form of video that's uploaded to Youtube.

If you ask me he is doing these "Look at me I'm a ginger" videos on purpose. This kid rants and rants and stumbles to the point of causing me to laugh uncontrolably. I would not be shocked one bit if this kid was a normal run of the mill kid who has a pissed off ginger alter ego.

Most predictable Kenny death ever. Funny, though.
