Has anyone read this?

I read it when it came out and was kind of disappointed with it. I mean, I was totally looking forward to it and thought the art was generally pretty good, but the story didn't hold up.

They introduced a villain that I totally didn't care about, gave supes little personality, and had some awkward heart to heart moments between clark and his family members. The comic felt too impersonal and it didn't live up to the hype for me.

I think J.M.S. is doing an ok job on the ongoing supes series, but earth-one didn't hold up for me, especially since it's the introduction to the whole earth-one line and it didn't get me excited at all.
