So... with that many Lego pieces, what would you build?
I would consider forfeiting vinyl siding in favor of Lego siding.

Meh. I'd be more interested if he had boxes and instruction booklets, and they were sorted in a more helpful manner than "box of people" and "box of red bricks".
Anyone can accumulate a giant pile of Legos. That's not impressive. Having the old castle and space sets from the 80s in complete and good condition, now THAT would be impressive.

Browse the collection Syd.
It took me about 2 seconds to find what you were looking for:

Holy shit, if I bought that, you'd never see me again. They'd find my dessicated corpse surrounded by castles and space ships and giant robots.
Oh man, I had forgotten about some of those sweet older sea and Blacktron sets...

I can't even comprehend how many legos that guy has. That is pretty ridiculous. What do you think the of the 20k price tag? Think that is fair for what he is selling?

Hah, I was watching it as you were posting it. Was actually getting ready to post the embed code and figured I'd do a page refresh first... it is SICK how many duplicate sets that must have taken.
If I were really rich, I would waste my fortune on Legos with no doubt in my mind.

It would cost much more than that now to duplicate his collection, but I am guessing that at some point Lego as a company would give you a discount if for order over 1000lb of bricks...
I've always wondered how much it would cost to make one of those life sized sets that they had in FAO in NY City. I don't know if they still do it, but they were awesome when I was younger.
I don't understand why that took 4.5 years to make unless it was due to actually needing the funds to buy it all. Seems like a shit ton of guys take up most of the scene. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty bad ass.

Blacktron was okay. My favorite space lines were the second half of Classic Space and then Blacktron: Future Generation. M:Tron was decent.
I liked the Futuron sets, but the Futuron space suits SUCKED. They should have made them more like the classic suits. I still want that Monorail Transport System, dammit.
Fuck both the Space Police and Space Police II lines, they sucked.
I remember getting this and being so excited about building it... then my cousin sat on it

The coolest "location" piece I ever had would have to be the Black Monarch's Castle (Set ID 6085).

I had the Unitron Monorail Station, it wasn't that cool on the count that you couldn't make much other than the monorail out of it.

Yeah but you could put the Monorail through the castle if you bought that too.

I never had anything close to a full set of any toyline, it was always Unitron and Blacktron and M tron and Snow Patrol mismatched with Aquanauts and old West and Pirates, GI Joes had to fight Ninja Turtles, Crash Test dummies sat in the corner by themselves because they sucked, and so and so forth.

I had the airport monorail. The fucking AIRPORT monorail!
Least you didn't have the Garbage Truck set, way to simulate a child's creativity there.

Very nice collection indeed. But didn't we already have a Lego thread? One of these days I need to probably upgrade my Space and Castle collection. I have all the Ice Planet sets, but I need to get the Blacktron, MTron, Space Police, Explorers, Spyrius and maaaaybe the Unitron. I never had many castle sets growing up, instead my parents would buyt me the shitty Town sets, no thanks.
