This kid is going to be on the news tomorrow and possibly Jimmy Kimmel Live a few days after. He's either a genius or has no idea how to play.

It was a designed play by the coaches. After a penalty, the QB shouted that they were marking off 5 more yards, the center handed him the ball oddly and he walked through the line then bolted.

It's kind of dick play. It's fucking middle school, and you're going to score a touchdown this way? Great lesson you're teaching there, coach!
I think it's a great lesson. Pay attention to the game.
Was that snap entirely legal, though?
I saw in a college game last week a returner catch a punt while 3 or 4 opponents just kind of hovered around him, most of them -behind- them. Then the returner took off for a touchdown. The defenders assumed he called for a fair catch. He didn't.
The snap is fine, just normally doing it that way, the ball would never get to the QB. The center can actually just leave the ball on the ground and the play would still be live.

It's so famous by now that it will likely never work again.

Not at all. It's no more a dick move than a play action fake, or a pump fake. Granted, this was a little more outside the box, but I still give both the coach and the kids props for coming up with something that creative, and executing it so well.
I mean hell, the last few weeks in the *NFL* there have been instances where one team fumbled but assumed the ball was dead so they just left it on the ground. A more perceptive defender realized the play hadn't been whistled dead, scooped it up, and ran it in for a nearly unopposed TD. It happens; that's the game. Like Usa said, pay attention!

I wouldn't call that easy, either. Number 19 there was on his ass the whole way in.
If anything, its a pretty solid lesson for the team that got duped, "Stay on your fucking toes!". Deception plays a role in many plays in all sports, trick or not.

I am sure something like this happens all the time in the US, it is just not as well pulled off. Consider how many football teams there are and how many trick plays there are...
Don't get me wrong, it is a brilliant play. I just don't think it is as rare as we are made to believe it is. Also, two weeks later people will be making the same mistakes.

True, you need the combo of the play actually working, someone taping it, and then that someone putting it on the internet.

19 is like the underdog, did you see the size of him? He looks like he got eaten by his uniform, but there he goes like a madman while the rest of his team stand around like a bunch of idiots.

Hehe, that's great, it reminds of something that you would have seen on Little Giants.
My fiance showed me this awhile ago, and I was dumbfounded. It's completely legal, and it is nobody's fault but the defense for letting something like that happen. I find it funny that they were actually able to pull it off to be honest.

I thought this play was awesome All legal too, and well planned and executed.
Props to the team for pulling such a risky play off.
