I had a 72-in-1 NES cartridge before and there was this game. It was called Tetris 4 but it's quite different from Tetris.

I searched for the real name on gamefaqs (looked for the puzzle games descriptions). It's Flipull.

It's a Taito game that was only released in Japan. You controlled some sort of yellow blob who throws 4 types of blocks : a green square, a red circle, a blue triangle and a black X. There are also power-ups that can be used as any one of them. Those are also your lives, because if you get stuck you must use one to continue.

The game itself consist of trying to destroy group of about 30 blocks. The blob must toss the block he has with him at the stack and hit the same kind of block. It moves up and down a ladder. You can hit the stack from the right or from the top. To hit the top, you must throw it at the wall and it'll go straight down. The roof is uneven, so you can hit some rows. There are also pipes that can be traversed from top to bottom, but not from right to left (your block goes straight down).

You have three minutes to pass a level. To complete one, you must have about seven or less blocks left in the stack. If you can't make a move and the stack contains too much blocks, you get a "MISS" and must use a power-up. You are game over if you don't have any power-ups or if you run out of time in normal mode. The other mode is advance mode, where there's no time and you have a set amount of moves to complete a level.

When I was about 8, i played this game quite often. I downloaded the rom about an hour ago and now I really suck at this game (got three "MISS" after 4 levels).

Well, I'd like to know if you played/heard/give a shit about this game. It's a good game, but it's a bit repetetive.

I haven't heard of it, but it makes me think of Bust-a-Move, especially since it's Taito. It sounds interesting, so I'll probably try to grab it today and see what it's like.

RIP Hacker.

Isn't that how preschoolers learn shapes?
