I didn't see any threads for the game, and I decided to make one. I personally think the game is fucking great, big improvement over the last title. All the combo weapons are interesting and fun to use. Story is pretty good so far for me, and I love the references. My personal favorite combo weapon is the Laser Sword, you combine gems and a flashlight and it comes out as basically a green lightsaber. Kill a zombie or anything in general, and it turns red from the blood. Discuss the game...
Edit: Nevermind on the blood or kill anything in general for the laser sword. It changes color whenever you pull it out.

I wonder if they'll fuck up the Wii port again.
Man, I want a 360.

You should totally check out the IRC channel.
While you're at it, go check out my band, Her Majesty's Heroines.

The Wii game isn't a port. If you think of it as a port, you'll hate it. It's a completely different game that just happens to have the same premise, name, and story as the 360 game. Both games have flaws, but both are really fun.

I've been addicted to this game on my PS3 for the past week.
I haven't really played Co-op yet, but I have played some of the online TIR games...

I really want to check this out, but I already broke my meager entertainment budget when I got Red Dead Redemption, should I play the first one before I check out this one?

I've played the first one a bit on the 360, and there are only few connections between the two, aside from the massive zombie gatherings. It makes references to Willamette Mall and maybe a couple characters, but I haven't seen anything that would be ground breaking relations to the first game yet.

There's going to be a DLC tie-in that brings Frank & Otis in for a sidestory.

I would love to play co-op with you. I haven't really spent much time on it, because I've been busy getting fucked up and banging chicks and stuff. I think I'm like... level 2 still... when would you like to?

Doesnt really matter because the first game's story kinda sucked balls, besides the beginning that is

Played through it on PC. Much better than the first. Especially, in that you didn't start the storyline mission by having an agonizingly difficult shootout boss battle. The story does bother me a bit. And, towards the end, you can see every swerve coming from a mile away. Also, why didn't they fix the weapon wearing out too fast? I mean, seriously, an axe should be good to kill hundreds of zombies with. Not just a dozen.
[Spoiler Alert] For those who beat the game:
And, why doesn't the awesome chainsaw equiped motorcycle you ride in the beginning never reappear in the game? I mean seriously? That would have been awesome for flying down the strip. Not to mention, incredible useful, once the super gas zombies start appearing.

If I can, I'll try and see if I can rent it, but I bought it for PS3, can't check till Friday though, rented Red Faction: Guerilla and Brutal Legend yesterday.

I'll play co-op with you anytime, co-op can be a great bit of fun. Played with MartyMcFly from the forums like 2-3 days ago, and we just went around killing shit.
And in general, I personally fucking hated Dead Rising 1, it was just a bit too hard for me to enjoy it, but Dead Rising 2 really improved on everything.

Also at Knyte, couldn't you customize the bikes in the main part of the plaza? after you kill your rival I think you can take the bike to the little trailer and bring a chainsaw and bam you got it...
