Have not heard much talk on the forums about this, so here is the thread.
This game is being developed by Platinum Games and is a creation by Shinji Mikami, whom is father of the Resident Evil series and also worked on franchises like Viewtiful Joe, Devil May Cry and Ace Attorney.
It is essentially a third person, action-shooter, combining the best of Eastern and Western influences. It's quite stylized and looks like it plays pretty smooth, the trailer kinda made my jaw drop a bit.
Platinum is a very good company, so I already have faith in this.
I do at work. And safari on my iPod. And when my comp is up and running again I use chrome.

Syd could just use opera... but we know that's never going to happen.

Wow, anyone downloaded/played the demo?? This game is badass as fuck, cannot wait to play the full game. The controls are fucking fantastic and smooth. Once again Platinum Games has knocked my socks off.
I'm not sure if I really like this or not. It feels like PN 03 on the gamecube and a little bit of Lost planet but it just.... it doesn't seem to want to sit well with me. It looks pretty, but it just feels... bland

To each his own, I think it's quite slick. The jumping over cover right into slo-mo is ridiculous. And while in AVR mode you can change weapons seamlessly without a drop in ammo fire, so great. Also, it just oozes style.
I played a little bit last night and am not sure what to think yet. On the one hand, the additional movement options like the powerslide were nice. On the other, Platinum is a little too hung up on bullet time and I've already played this back when it was Gears of War 2. Will play more tonight and see what I think.

I think it trumps Gears so far IMO.
By the time I played Gears 2 I was already kinda burnt out on the series, this feels real fresh to me though. And you can pop in and out of bullet time so quickly, makes everything so fast paced.
I dig how the gun morphs around the handle while changing weapons. In this sense there is no delay between firing while changing guns, just seamless gunfire (which is real nice).
I also like the presentation so far, the lead character has a real Solid Snake feel to him, and how you can smoke a jack when you have yourself in cover is a funny and nice touch.
