What are some of the games that you remember trading to other people that had you later rejoicing/loathing said trade?

I traded Tiny Toon Adventures (NES) for Spiritual Warfare (NES - Unlicensed).
Mediocre trade. I wanted to get my game back, but seeing as how my trading partner was the step-brother of another friend of mine, I didn't see him again... Oh well...

Secret of Mana (SNES) to a friend at summer camp for Final Fantasy III [VI] (SNES).
Awesome trade, though I eventually bought SoM back at a used game place. I was 11 at the time. He also gave me the fantastically full-color player's guide with FFIII, while I gave him the crappy black and white (except for some maps in the middle) Secret of Mana guide... (I was 11!! I know, not cool, but I think it was cool. Thank you FFIII!)

Super Mario Kart (SNES) to my best friend at the time for Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past.
This was around Spring '93. He tried to trade me back games, and I said no (I was a prick--but a smart one!) and we ended up becoming arch-rivals. But, I digress.... Great trade.

I traded Final Fantasy II to my cousin for a bunch of copied PC games... I'm pretty sure they were X-Com, Day of the Tentacle, Maniac Mansion and some Indiana Jones game. I thought it was a good deal because I was getting 4 games for 1 but one day I went to visit him and he was playing X-Com and I realized that he really didn't give up anything in the trade and it made me kind of bitter.

I also traded Ogre Battle for Chrono Trigger. They're both sweet but I liked Ogre Battle better and wanted to trade back. Apparently the dude felt the same way because he absolutely refused.

I remember trading Jackal on the NES for the Atari 2600 version of Centipede.

I never traded Nintendo games.. trading on limited knowledge scares me. That's probably why i never did it. In card games, I'd know the rarity, usefulness in what i want of a card, and it's retail price. I could make educated trades where I come out even cost wise or close at least, and also have it be a trade i want to make for card's I want to use. I wasn't in them to make money, other than off local tourney winnings, which I did.

I should ask my brother if he ever traded any of our Nintendo games while younger.

I've never traded games. Never knew anyone who did. My friends and I would simply lend each other games. Sometimes in exchange for another game, sometimes not. But it was always understood that the game still belonged to the original owner.

I lent my copy of Super Mario Bros. Deluxe to someone at school and got Bomberman Max: Red Challenger. I moved before we could exchange the games back. I think it was better this way, as they are both great games, I already own Super Mario Bros. a couple of times.

I traded my second copy of Super Mario World for Super R-Type and Battletoads and Double Dragon to a friend. We were both very happy with it.

I traded Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes of the Lance for the NES for a Mighty Max Versus Kronosaur Horror Head, seemed like a fair trade since Heroes of the lance blowed.

Except Heroes of the Lance was a gift from my father who passed away soon after I traded it, and the jerk I traded it to didn't wanna re trade. Sad

Same with me. In fact, since it was my parents who bought me all of my video games for most of my young life, I'd have considered it an affront and a big F.U. to them if I traded away games they had picked out and purchased for me.

Yeah, exactly. Aside from trading cards and duplicate Happy Meal toys, I wasn't going to trade something that someone else spent money to buy me. That's just rude.

I traded a bunch of Gameboy games for a few N64 games once. I don't remember all the Gameboy games (I only remember Pokemon Trading Card Game and Super Mario Land) and I don't remember the N64 Games I got...

I did regret it a bit, even though this was at the height of the N64 so the games where worth more then my GB games. Luckily, I eventually re-acquired the GB games I traded.

My trades were all worth it, I don't care. FFIV is the best SNES game ever--along with Super Mario World, FFIV is aiming at ya... Yeah...
