The other day I was digging through some of my old stuff when I came across something.

This is my old manual for Astrosmash on the Intellivision. I don't know how this manual survived as long as it has seeing as though boxes and manuals used to mean nothing to me, and I don't even remember recording my scores in the manual, but luckily I can keep this fossil of the past around. My dad bought his Intellivision before I was born, so it was the first system I ever owned. Nowadays I sometimes find it hard to believe the hours I spent playing Astrosmash, Night Stalker and Frog Bog. They where overly simplistic for the days of the NES/SNES but I played them forever just the same. The closest thing I have to this is my SNES manuals with pictures cut out to glue in my school journal (Forgive me for desecrating you, Mario RPG manual.)
Does anyone else have this kind of thing still while I'm in nostalgia town? I'd love to see them.

Nothing quite this sentimental, but when I was young my stepdad had an atari that he kept the majority of the manuals for and he gave them all to me, I have over 50 Atari (2600 and 7800) manuals and all the games, as well as some completes. The major item that I have that he kept was his sealed copy of Galaga for the 7800. Now of all my NES/SNES/Sega games I kept nothing. I am sure I trashed the boxes for all of my NES/SNES games because they were of no use and lost all of the manuals. I still have copies of Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy 2 and 3, Secret of Mana, all of which my mother bought for me and I only kept the cartridges over time. I've actually reverted to buying some of the stuff to complete the sets myself.

All oft genesis and most if my master system games have boxes.
I also still have the original packaging and paperwork for my nes and genesis. I got dome atari manuals kicking around too I think.
Search for a topic called "pictures of nerdy stuff that I own". It's got pics.

I used to have this beat to hell generic how to win video games book with a bunch of old nes games in it, it was like green black and purple and had a Wizard or maybe a Warrior on it, I wish I could find either it or a picture on google.

I have something pretty close to what your talking about Blackout.
However, I also know the exact book your talking about strangely enough. My mom used to be a librarian and I would always have her check out those "How to win at video game" books when I was young. I remember one with a wizard and one with a warrior. One was for Genesis and one was for SNES. The SNES one is what convinced me to buy Lufia and the Fortress of Doom at the time.

I still have all of my old NES game boxes/manuals boxed up somewhere at my parent's house. After I move back to Cali next week, I'll go through them and take some pictures.
My dad's Intellivision (and Coleco!) still work and he has a ton of games for them, but I'm not sure if he kept the manuals, so that's a pretty cool find Hexen.

Give me awhile FNJ. I loved your pictures of everything so much that I think I'll do the same. It'll take awhile, I basically have a houseful of stuff confined in one room, so their is little space to rearrange things. To tide you over, here is my failed attempt at documenting every game, system and accessory I own (That stuff takes a lot of time!)
http://s943.photobucket.com/home/MGVGCollection/index
I may continue it one day, but the thought of setting up and taking a picture of my 600+ NES games along with the hundreds of NES accessories I have fills me with terror. I have 7 boxed NESs sets, all of which have different boxes. I have problems!
I'd encourage anyone else with pictures of any kind of collectibles to post em up as well. I really really love looking at pictures of this kind of thing.

The 7 NES sets of the apocalypse! I opted to use photobucket's clickable thumbnails rather then make an even more colossally long post. I didn't remove everything, but they are all complete with owner's guides and so forth.
Sports set with satellite.
Power set with power pad.
Deluxe set with ROB and Zapper.
Action set with Zapper.
Challenge set with Super Mario Bros. 3.
Regular control deck without SMB.
Regular control deck with SMB.
Every other boxed system that isn't an NES. Most are complete, but some are missing an instruction manual or two.

Beneath the NES, the Intellivision is my favorite system to collect to seeing as it was my first real system.
In fact, I like it so much, one of my friends made me this shirt for my last birthday. I challenge anyone to make a more obscure gaming shirt.
I'd also love to see what games you have.

Yea I know, I buy and sell a lot of stuff locally through craigslists, yard sales, and the flea market. I keep ending up buying NES game lots or systems that just happen to come with the game. I have like 8 copies of mario 3 as well, but only 1 copy of Super Mario 2.

Very nice, srheajr. I never really got much into reselling except for picking up a copy of Mario 3 from a garage sale and selling it to the Movie Trading Company for a few bucks profit from time to time. In fact the only games I ever sold are when I finally got rid of my stack of duplicate NES games I kept in a stack from my floor to the ceiling.
I like your multiple systems, too. As far as multiples go I have a bajillion NESs I should probably fix up with new pin readers one day and a top loader, I have 4 N64s (2 black, one DK64 green and the Pokemon one), I only have 2 PlayStations (a PSX and PS1), I have about 5 Genesis consoles (However, only two have cords... I kept finding them for a buck with no cords and couldn't resist...), 3 intellivisions (Intellivision, Intellivision II and a Sears Video Arcade), 2 regular SNESs, a Jr. and a Super Famicom, Model 1 & 2 Saturns, Two Atari 2600s (One heavy sixer and one four switch) and two CD-is, one huge and one more compact.
I keep all of my NES controllers in a box, something it looks like you would be used two. I have no less then 70 of them... but I don't know how much of a market there are for loose NES controllers.

Those are good for eyes, I'm told.
However, Ben Stein showed me the way of Clear Eyes© and I have to take his word over yours.
Remember, for dry red eyes, Clear Eyes© is awesome!

That's funny, I used to keep a top ten list of my highest scores on all my old Atari 400 games. It looked kinda like what you have there.
