I don't know if any of you guys have heard of this, but it's pretty cool
Rockman Exile is a romhack for Megaman 2 that changes the entire game. It's super difficult, almost frustratingly so at times, but it's extremely rewarding and it captures a good sense of re-learning and playing for the first time, as you don't know WHAT the fuck is going on, or what to expect.

For a download, just search on google. I'm sure it's all over the place, I found it rather easily.
Certain scenes require you to abuse the through-the-wall trick, and you will have to be at your sharpest to tackle the combat while dealing with insane platforming.
Give it a whirl. It's fun, but tough. The only gripe I have with it is that the music sucks.
