I was a bit reluctant to post this, but I saw Syd's epic Wii collection and figured there might be a dedicated topic for this, but screw it, I'll probably be really old so I'll take a shot at a new topic. So, without further ado, my NES collection.
Who would have thought that someone who reads Syd Lexia likes the NES?
This was taken 2 years ago when I literally had to take apart my room and put it together piece by piece to fit everything in. Needless to say, I now sleep on a sofa instead of a bed. I've acquired some nifty new things since then, but I don't know if I ever want to take the effort to do this again until I move.

Optimist With Doubts and Pandajuice:
Well, this was 2 years ago, The stuff IS all on shelves now, but not all put together like that. The games are in alphabetical order, and the accessories and systems are scattered.
These are my 2 shelves with NES games
Sorry about my rooms lighting, it's not very good.
Vaenamoenen:
While it's a new addition since then, the most valuable piece I have is the NES hand's free controller.
As for games, its either my CIB Menace Beach or Unlicensed Tetris.
The-Excel:
I started my collection in my freshman year of high school. I inherited a lot of spending money, and have gone out to garage sales/thrift stores/pawn shops/flea markets every Friday for the past 6 or 7 years.
Doddsino:
I actually have a checklist above my computer with a list of all the games, and everyone I have checked. The picture is actually a little fluffed up as tat included duplicates which I have since sold. I just counted 636 unique games, but this includes a few pirates and a few games with multiple cartridges (ie Grey and Gold Zelda).
It would take me a long time to post all the games I do have, so I'll go the quicker route and use my list to post the ones I don't have:

Adventure Island 3
Arkistas Ring
Asterix the Gaul
Baby Boomer

Which is 131 games I am missing, if my count is correct (This excludes pirates because they are way hard to keep track of.) It should be noted that I am obsessive in collecting (which is why I am listing games in different carts.) and I was raised by the greatest collector. My dad's main collection point was coke products, of which we have rooms full of bottle, cans and merchandise. He didn't only collect coke stuff though, he collected EVERYTHING. SO much everything, that we had a 2 story storage facility built in our back yard which is absolutely FILLED with stuff from the 60s to the late early 2000s. It has cards, figures, dolls, happy meal toys, magazines and historical memorabilia overflowing out of every crack.
As a testiment to the amount of stuff we have in that garage, here are a couple of sealed boxes, and the two toys of the other two boxes, of the Addam's Family Cereal in which Syd partook today.

I originally set out to get every game, but some games are just not worth it like Stadium Events or just cost WAY too much like a complete Stack Up set. Also, since I collect SNES games, I try to get the better of the 2 if they were also on NES; for example Prince of Persia.
I only need about 40 games more until I have the collection I want; which includes Bubble Bobble 2, Little Samson, Snow Brothers and Fire N Ice as well as a couple others on your list.

I collect SNES games too, and I am more like your NES collecting about it in that I primarily only get games I like. I have about 100 SNES games, and I'd say 70-80 of them are games I absolutely love. The other ones are either crappy games I got for free, or games I bought at random.

Just out of curiousity, do you have any extras? And where do you go about getting your games? Online or local?

I have bought stuff online, but a majority have come from years of garage sales, flea markets and places like the Movie Trading Company. Loose games I usually found in the wild, boxed ones are typically what I purchased online. I used to have a stack of NES duplicates that went from my floor to my coaling, but I sold them a few years back. I don't really even know a ballpark number for what it's all worth, just that its always worth more individually rather then sold in total.

I really don't like buying online all that much simply because you never know what you're getting and part of the fun getting stuff is coming across it randomly. I really do enjoy getting things in the mail, but I'm hesitant with games, especially nowadays.

Well, that's the thing. I could easily have bought most of those remaining 130 odd games online, but I haven't. Most of the games I bought online where ones I really wanted to play. There's nothing to compare with finding a cardboard box full of NES games at a garage sale, and digging through them excited to find one you don't have, with the added thrill of buying $50 games for 50 cents.

That sounds like paradise to me. I love collecting stuff and my dad was always a collector too, but was also too frugal/cheap to really go whole hog on the collecting. Still, he has a lot of rare Beatles memorabilia and a decent collection of the old 60s style G.I. Joes/toys and I used to always love going through his stuff.

Holy shit! You have an NES for every room in your house. And every room in my house! Now you just need 8 televisions.

Do all of the systems/games still work? Do you have to do a lot of blowing in them?
I've daydreamed for a long time about using ebay to get an NES and a bunch of the old games that I always wanted to play as a kid but couldn't afford.... But I feel like there's a very high potential for flashing gray screens and frustration.

Call me sacreligious, but I think I'll stick to games with dimensional depth in them. Although most of the classics are amazing, agreed.

All the games work, but I can't say that for the systems. Most of systems work fundamentally, but definitely need new pin readers to work well. The funny thing is, at one point, my room had as much as 7 TVs in it. I currently have 3.
