Sega announced today that they will be re-releasing games from the Dreamcast library on XBLA/PSN starting this fall. The first 2 titles will be Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi, and then more will follow. The ports will feature higher resolution graphics, surround sound support, online leaderboards, achievements, etc. Pretty awesome news I think.
So...which DC classics would you want to see get this treatment?

Power Stone 2 by far, and of course the arcade perfect versions of Third Strike and MvC1 would be great.

Yeah, if they were produced/developed by Sega.

Yes, SFIII 3rd Strike please, with online.
Also, quite stoked for Crazy Taxi, always been a big fan.

I also am interested in seeing these "enhanced graphics" in action.

I still use an old CRT so enhanced graphics can suck it, I just wanna play the games how they were meant to be played.

Then play a Dreamcast.

Don't blame me for wanting to take advantage of my glorious display.

Yea, I'd love to see stuff like 3s, CvS2 and Alpha 3 Upper get released with high res graphics and online, but I don't think Capcom would let that fly.

Soul Edge. Which wasn't on the Dreamcast. You're thinking the first Soul Calibur.

I don't consider filtered sprites "enhanced" by any definition. Higher-resolution textures, new models and animations, etc. are worth the trouble if they're going to HD. As long as they don't interfere with the established gameplay even a little, they can enhance them as much as they want.

I thought what Capcom did with MvC2 for the online release was pretty nice. They still had that "spritey" look, but everything was so sharp and clean. They also added more to the sides to create a wide-screen effect, although the game still plays with boundaries as if it were 4:3.

I really don't care about hi-res. I still have a CRT, so it's of no consequence to me. Achievements are a nice addition though.
I won't buy these though, unless they're really special. I have the Sonic Adventure Director's Cut, and Sonic Adventure wasn't that good anyway. Sega will need to do better.

And guys, these games will likely only be SEGA titles.

I wish Namco had put the DC version of Soul Calibur on XBLA. The version they put on it SUCKED.

I'd like to see a translated port of Segagaga, and I would kill ten babies to get it.

Not nessicarily. Look at the Sega Genesis titles availble for Wii. Many were not published by SEGA orginally. Such as:

Ghouls 'n Ghosts

Rolling Thunder 2

Powerball

Mega Turrican

Gley Lancer

Earthworm Jim

Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure

Pulseman

Super Fantasy Zone

Those were originally published for the Genesis by Namco, Capcom, Interplay, NCS, Sunsoft, etc.

Genesis games don't need to be licensed by Sega though. They need to be licensed by the original company. Nintendo might also pay a general fee to Sega to emulate the Genesis, but Sega doesn't make money directly off any Genesis games they don't own the publishing rights to. Since this article is about Sega announcing "enhanced DC ports" and not DC emulation, one must assume they are Sega games. Sega has no interest or concern in whether or not other companies are releasing enhanced DC ports.

Which was the point I was trying to make earlier. It's going to be SEGA's property in order for them to release it.

				http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Dreamcast_games
You can organize the list by publisher.

My interests (SEGA published games):

Crazy Taxi (never played, heard good things)

Crazy Taxi 2 (same as above)

Jet Grind Radio (same as above)

Shenmue (fun game, was pissed that the story didn't resolve)

Shenmue II (maybe I can finally finish the damned story)

Skies of Arcadia (never played, heard good things)

Grandia II (never played, heard okay things - Also shared publishing with Ubisoft)

Illbleed was great. It was like Creepshow in video game form.
