Anyone else watching the press conference?
Apparently Microsoft decided that wild flailing was the most important part of Wii gaming, so all Kinect games will use 200% more flailing. You will flail like never before!

This shit is about 3 years too late. A lot of people are already tired of the Wii's motion controls, and some of us never wanted them in the first place.
I'm much more stoked about the Xbox Slim. Finally we get Wi-Fi, and a 250GB hard drive. I've always said that I'd spend more on DLC if I didn't have to get raped on the 60GB proprietary HD for over $100. I assume it's got HDMI, too? I haven't checked that closely yet.

Yeah, I hate how companies release the developmental name and then change it later on. Haven't they realized people get cranky when the new name is as mediocre - or worse - than the developmental name? Take "Wii" for instance. Everyone loved "Revolution". "Wii" eventually gained acceptance, but people fucking HATED it at first.

I still love my "Dolphin".
The "Revolution" name would not have stood up to time very well.
It was alright at the time as it was sorta groundbreaking, but having a name like that at this point would just make the console sound pretentious and laughable.

I dunno. It doesn't sound any less pretentious than XBox, which is totally X-TREME! And it's less bland than PlayStation.
I think it's about time to reboot the PlayStation franchise. Instead being of a direct sequel, the next PlayStation should completely reimagine the series. Maybe call it PlayStation: Rising Fury or something like that.
