There's no way that the theatrical cut will be 4 hours long. They'll cut it down to 2.5 and release the 4 hour version as an SE DVD.

a movie based on dungeon seige? Double-you Tea eff? thats not even a very good cave crawler/MMOrpg. it hasnt even got much of a storyline.

Dungeon Seige was marginally entertainig, but it was just a poor man's Diablo. It feel short of it in every way, and Diablo has a much more compelling story. Why license games for movies, unless you can get the ones the fans will want?

Diablo 2 had an even better story coupled with the expansion. But I hate dungeon crawlers.
Warcraft (All up to the MMORPG) has a good story, as does SC.

Well, it helps explain how Uwe got the rights. As you may know certain video game companies are avoiding him like the plague. Rockstar has turned him down numerous times. Sounds to me Dungeon Siege needed the $$$.

Well at least half of those are either still filming or in pre-production. The reason that Uwe keeps getting work is because he shoots his films in Germany and there's some weird German tax law where if you make a movie that loses money, you can claim it as a write-off or something like that. I don't know the exact details on the law, but Tebor or greeneyedzeke might. Thus studios actually benefit by hiring him to make box office bombs.
