What an asshole. They should give him a huge bag of meth and a couple of pieces of rabbit hutch mesh wiring and lock him into a room, then let a bunch of mosquitoes and chiggers in. I guarantee you he'd fucking flay himself alive. It's things like this that really make me wonder if I'm a psychopath, though, because if he'd have done that to people, I'd probably have had a much less disturbed reaction to it.

It doesn't make you a psychopath, I don't think; or if it does, then I'm one too. There is something particularly disturbing about seeing acts of such cruelty inflicted on things that are SO entirely helpless, innocent, and unable to understand the source of or reason for their pain.

As an unabashed carnivore, I must confess that rabbits are delicious. But brutally killing them for "fun" is unacceptable.

Living in the South where people eat just about anything that has enough meat to last for a full meal, I've had rabbit, and it is tasty, but not so much that I'd eat it over anything else.
But this segues into something you've all pretty much said-- if it's for food, and the killing is merciful, then OK, but killing anything for any other reason that isn't an annoying insect or life threatening, you probably need to be put somewhere very secure.
