Going by the pattern, it should be out next year. What literary universe do you think it'll take place in?
My money's on the Stephen King universe. Picture it: Sonic blazing his way through hordes of Sleepwalkers, engaging in a deadly game of Chicken with Christine, and assuming a unique Super form for the epic final showdown against the incomprehensible true form of It. I think, were that the case, the game would be called Sonic And The Rampant Horrors.

Maybe Sonic & The Time Machine. It could pull the time travel elements of Sonic Cd and mix them up with the Time Machine story and have him fighting through Morlocks and whatnot.

I'd almost like to see them handle The Canterbury Tales, but it's a bit close to the stuff from Black Knight in setting.

We had Arabian Nights and King Arthur. Something along the lines of Journey to the West would not be surprising.

Journey To The West would be fantastic, as well as slightly ironic, since the Chaos Emeralds were originally modeled after the Dragon Balls from the most famous Journey To The West reimagining ever made.
Also, The Bible. They could reuse the Sonic Heroes theme song and replace "Heroes" with "Jesus".
