He probably trained himself to have an either an extremely large lung capacity, or he can hold his breath for a helluva long time.

I think it's either because water is wet, or because it moistens things.

Actually, from what I can find on Wikipedia, that's just it-- he's NOT breathing. They train to do shit like this on a single breath. Apparently, taken to extremes, it IS considered an extreme sport. Read to the end of the first paragraph.

I legitimately didn't know actual BASE jumping was considered an extreme sport. My mind has been one track lately...
