No but i had a lot of fun in that game.
at like level 6 i ahd like 100STr and i farmed this cave, adn every time you went stronger creatures would be there. so i got really expensive items for my level and sold them to guy named screecher (worse version of the crab).
The reason i did so well is since i did 2 handed weapons i'd chain knock down the opponents.
I remember i was that black race (red gaurd or something) that had increase str, speed and a bunch of other crap by 50% for so many seconds. It was ridiculous. So i would go through the entire cave collect everything pile it in one spot, pick it all up. And then use that racial to run out quickly and drop it outside. I would then sleep and rinse and repeat until i had a MASSIVE pile of goods outside. (So i picked up my MASS pile of good outside but i couldn't move with it all being picked up, even with my racial) So, I had my Teleport set to Screecher and sold him all of it to make tons of money quickly.
I remember my friend was pissed for showing me screecher because i "ruined" the game without having to learn it the "right" way. And then i thought i was tough shit. So he Showed me umbra I believe (the warrior orc)... with the sweet blade. And he did beat my ass.. then i found a rock that i could kite him too and throw things at him. But i was weak and i missed a lot with the weapons... So i went to a shop ("i was filthy rich) and bought 1000's of throwing daggers and arrows... and just went to the rock and spent like 20 mintures just shooting this guy until he died, then i picked up his sweet blade. My friend was pissed.
On top of that, he then showed me these Special gaurds in a city, that wore this brown medium armor... Her Hands gaurds or something... So killed one and got their whole armor set.. and due to some glitch i could wear their armor with them around but if i talked to guard with the amor on they'd try to attack me.
So he still wanted to show that i wasn't that tough (he had GOTY edition) so he took me to a new city where more or less the best medium armor was (it was that awesome red armor suit), looked sweet. And he told me i couldn't kill these guys. Eventually i found a gaurd who was by himself... and I just went to town on him, and chained knocked him down, which interupted his heal i believe. And I also had a heal of my own ( i was like a warrior paladin but much heavier in warrior/figher type). So I got that whole set of armor.
then he's like alright here are gaurds you can't beat. So he took me to the Speical version of the Her Hands guards, which were in the same city as the guards that had red armor (the ones that had some of the best heavy armor in the game, and had Her Darts). And I tried to fight one, I hit him, he asked me to resist arrest, go to jail, or pay a fine.. first time i clicked resist arrest and got owned.
Next time I tried it, i went up and hit the gaurd, and he asked me the same questions, and I put Pay a fine.. then he just left me a lone but i noticed his health didn't go back up. So I rinse and repeated that, and would get them to about half helath then they'd heal themselves to full. But i kept at it... and eventaully the guy was out of mana, (so he couldn't heal himself) and I ended up killing up. So basically bought myself a set of their armor and got everything in his corpse (love being rich). But then every gaurd in the town was after me since they saw me kill him. So i was sprinting away like a mofo... And I left the room.. came back.. they were still after me... Eventually i got lucky i ran passed one of the guys, and instead of hitting me like the others were doing.. he asked me. Resist arrest, go to jail or pay a fine... i quickly spammed pay a fine. Then everything was peaceful again.. And i had a set of some of the best heavy armor, some of the best medium armor, and a full set of glass armor from my earlier farming.
He was very angry because everytime he wanted to put me in my place and make me play the game right.. he just made me stronger faster than i should have been. It was very funny.. I think i specialized in medium armor, so i wore the red one, plus it looked awesome. My weapon i can't remember what i ended up with but it was pretty good.. better than umbra that's for sure.
the word umbra used to make me think of Morrow wind, but now it has me thinking of MTG. : (. good times.

I'm not going to lie but I never exactly enjoyed Morrowind on the PC. I always felt Oblivion was more of the adventure game that I needed. That said, what is this Soultrap glitch?

Oblivion was my introduction to the ES games. I tried to go and play Morrowind, but after being spoiled by Oblivion's vastly superior graphics and such I just couldn't get into it.

I like Morrow Wind way better than oblivion. Oblivion you coudl cheat so easy by not leveling up and just gearing up. Since all the creatures around you, including bossess, and city guards, got stronger based on your level.
So if you had teh best gear on teh game, those stat increases were like being many levels higher. But if you didn't actually level.. then all the creatures, guards, and bossess... remained that same low level with low level gear.
The Way to avoid leveling is to put your major skills as skills you don't want to use, and your minor skill as skills you want to use.

Yea that's true.
I generally don't like RPG's that have that kind of leveling system. I like an old-fashioned system, where your characters get progressively stronger and you eventually get to kick the shit out of enemies who used to kick your ass.

If you learn soultrap and any increase attribute you can make a custom spell that permanently increases one of your attributes. For example if you make increase strength 100 points it can only be a few seconds, if it's not you'll never have the magic needed to cast it. If you make it increase strength 100 points for 2 seconds plus soultrap on target and cast it at the ground the soultrap somehow binds it to you forever. So if you goof around and make one for each attribute and are willing to sit around casting spells for a little while you can end up with everything maxed out as far as you want. I wouldn't recommend jacking speed up past 200, because if you do you run so fast the game cannot load the scenery fast enough. Also don't screw around with anything that jacks up jumping, because otherwise you'll fly straight up in the air for 5 minutes and then die from the impact. (although if you time it just right with a levitate before hitting it makes for a cheap and interesting way to travel across the map quickly.)
