Oh, see there's the problem- the smell was from Quebec. The rest of Canada (besides Manitoba) smells a lot better.

Aren't you always complaining that Chilliwack is a shithole? Wouldn't a shithole smell like shit?
The smell actually wasn't bad. I stepped out of my house at 8 AM this morning and I thought to myself, "Damn, the neighbors sure did fire up the grill awfully early..."

Eastern canada stinks! mostly because the governments there are stupid and let major US cities dump there trash on our soil and have you seen those so called "great lakes?" Im from western canada  much different story... well I guess we do have the tarsands

I've been to Quebec City. It's beautiful. Especially the old city. And the Canada side of Niagra Falls is so much cleaner than the American side.

Well, Im from neither East or west Canada.. Atlantic Canada! But yeah I was in Montreal and Quebec city a few years ago and it was really clean. 'Cept the whole I dont understand your french deal.

First time it rained for like a week here. The risk of fire was set to "Extreme" for the whole western part this weekend.
They've had to evacuate a few villages in the Laurentides because of the wildfires. It's never been that bad before. There are 39 fires currently, 5 of them "out of control".
We smelled smoke this weekend and feared a fire was nearby, but it might have been that same smoke you're smelling now.
Wait, you guys think Montreal is clean!? Which part of it did you visit anyway? I lived there for a year, and it didn't look too good.

could be worst lava, try living on the east side of Vancouver in hastings or northeast Edmonton. I must admit the west has some dirty cities  I love edmonton for the most part but our northeast end is horrible
