Nice Ugh Zan III from Serious Sam is on another list. There was some other list on ign or something a few years back called The most memorable boss fights of all time. that he was on.

Lavos or Kefka really are the most epic boss battles of all time, I cannot decided which one is more so....
I still think Psycho Mantis should have been on that list. Having to switch controller ports and him reading your memory card were awesome moments.

Eh, I'm having mixed feelings about Lavos being on this list. On my first play-through in Chrono Trigger, when I saw him I thought the battle would be epic...until I figured out that Lavos is completely predictable and easily manipulated.
The Jecht fight was incredibly easy. Sure, it was integral to the story and one of the most gripping moments plot-wise, but difficult? Heck no.
Nemesis? Heck yes. This douchewad constantly followed you around, taking hard jabs at your skull, trying to burrow into your neck with a tentacle, and shooting rockets at you, and when you finally have to face the menacing beast, he starts the battle off by infecting you with a virus. Oh, and the first time I played, Carlos didn't destroy his rocket launcher. Man, that first time was tough...
The battle in MGS3 with the Boss wasn't just difficult because of the reasons why she was fighting in the first place, but because she could beat the living crap out of you in a heartbeat.
I was glad they included Shadow of the Colossus; the entire game is a sequence of epic boss battles, they'd be stupid not to have it on the list.

Dynamite Headdy > Gunstar Heroes
Seriously, Dark Demon was awesome as all hell. I'm also surprised not a single SNK boss made it....I'm glad that both of my favorite Contra games made it though.

I think M.Bison from Street Fighter Alpha 3 (Arcade) should have been on there.
He has a Psycho Crusher that drains over 50% of your life, and you only get one chance to beat him. No continues are allowed. You lose and it's game over.

Thank you for including Seven Force on the list. You don't get the full effect unless you try fighting it on Hard, though (so you have to fight all 7)
I think Ultimecia was a good fight, despite her speech impediment (KURSE YOU!)
Psycho Mantis should absolutely have been on the list. And Zeromus.
Gunstar Heroes is so fucking brutal on hard I can barely take it haha.
Here's a hint: Drop the chaser gun. You can win the game with your eyes closed on normal with it, but once on hard, it's just too weak. Learn to use a double flamethrower or some shit like that (of course, you should switch your weapons as needed. Seven Force himself, you'd be stupid to take him off with a flamer)
I nominate the end boss from Metal Slug 3. The game's Final Mission is ridiculously long and amazingly epic, much moreso than any other mission in any Metal Slug. There are a couple of epic mini boss fights where you think, holy Jesus, this must be the last guy, right? But it never is. Finally, after destroying the alien mothership, you jump into a Metal Slug and plummet down towards Earth. As you do, you are attacked by the alien overlord:
Yeah, the final boss fight was the only thing I really cared about in that game...

IMHO, that huge blob thing at the end of RE2 (the "B" game) was pretty epic.

Genuinely good list, athough you need more than 25 spaces to get all of the great bosses in there.
Syd: Oh my god Metal Slug 3 final mission is fantastic. Particularly because the final boss music in metal slug conveys the epic battle before you with such a sense of triuph. Partly because its a nonstop thrill ride of a level thats almost a game concept in itself.

I liked Metal Slug Three better than Five, however it seemed to drag on forever. I really did appreciate the overhead shooter sequence though.
As for badass boss fights, I have a few favorites but they aren't really what other people consider badass. However I really did think most of the boss fights on Gunstar Heroes were good. My only complaint is that they took off the throw feature in the GBA sequel. That and they pretended like it was a brand new game when, in actuality, it was a glorified port with limited customization options. When I play through a level, I want to be able to choose if I want the chaser or the flame thrower, don't give me three preset options and pretend like everything's alright. I'd also appreciate it if you didn't give me a sword in place of my ability to throw stuff. Who wants a dinky sword when you can slam your enemy's head into the ground?

I disagree with a lot of those. Too many newer games on the list, and while the newer boss fights are a lot more dramatic, the element of the boss fight alone should be reason enough for it to be on that list. Take for example fighting Mother Brain on Super Metroid, that was some serious shit.
As far as MGS3? The End > The Boss

Ultimacia was a fantastic final boss fight. I remember all the things she would say to you in her final form blowing my 8th grade mind.

This is a terrible list.
Baal? Seriously? As awesome as Diable 2 is, there's nothing epic, exciting, or intense about any of the boss fights in it. It's all: Hack! Slash! Heal! or Cast! Cast! Heal!
