What're some of your favorite and hated comic events? Hush, Death of Superman, Fatal Attractions, Phalanx Covenant, Infinity Crisis, Crisis on Infinite Earths, "AzBats," etc.

From what I understand, Marvel's "Civil War" is the greatest thing ever.

Hey, it's a great reason to bust out Frank Castle and see where he stands on the issue heh.

I've liked all the ones I've read so far or am currently reading, which includes: Hush, Identity Crisis, Civil War, 52, Crisis on Inifinite Earths, No Man's Land (Fantastic!), Crisis Crisis who's got the Crisis, Kingdom Come, and House of M.

Crisis on Infinite Earths was very dense and kinda hard to read all at once, but I did enjoy it while I was reading it.

Death of Superman (even in hindsight) is spectacular. So easy to simplfy into a film, I don't know why no one can do it. That issue of "Superman" 75 is simply magical. I did enjoy the WWS and RoS follow ups as well.

No Man's Land, I'll agree is fantastic. One day I hope it becomes a Deus Ex-ian RPG where you join different factions on Gotham Island.

Daredevil: Guardian Angel. Okay, a cheat cause Kevin Smith wrote it, but I found it not only powerful, but moving. One of the very, very few comics to affect me emotionally.

I enjoyed "Welcome Back, Frank" and wish I had the time and money to buy all the Punisher paperbacks.

I'm not sure things like "Kingdom Come" would count as that's outside of official canon (at least to my knowledge). If they do, "Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth"... even though it's a one shot and not an event...

I'm not sure I have hated events. Prof. X was evil for awhile and Spider-Man was a clone or something... both of those in the time that I stopped reading comics. I wasn't a big fan of the first few issues of Superman/Batman, which I gave up on. The latest Supergirl comics are horrendous - Peter David had done an amazing job on his series a decade ago. I'm hoping either series gets a noteworthy storyline going eventually.

I'll give Death of Superman some props too. I'm not huge into comics, but that was a great storyline.

I haven't actually read the House of M stuff, but from what I understand about the aftermath, I hate what happens to Magneto.

Anyone remember Marvel 2099?

I loved the first 10 issues of Punisher 2099, but then it went downhill fast.

Spawn - Blood Feud was fun. Even if Greg Capullo's guns are drawn embarassingly bad.

I'm not sure if this was covered in another thread, but WTF Murdar? Did you ask Syd to close your other account, or are you using MegaManFanBlasterCool instead of your regular for some other reason? Confused

Thought I'd advertise an event which hasn't started yet, but should be the shit. Before the Civil War started, in the New Avengers Illuminati special one-shot (though it's now getting it's on book, issue 1 on Wednesday!), a group of the world's greatest minds include Dr. Strange, Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Black Panther, Namor, and more shot Hulk into space. This was basically because he's too powerful to have on either side of the Civil War. Once the Civil War ends, he's coming back to Earth to take his revenge on the Illuminati in "World War Hulk". Should be pretty damn cool.

Yeah, it does. His current story arc "Planet Hulk" sounded really cool too, but they had to extend it longer than it should be cause the Civil War has been extended. (He's on a gladiator planet)

The hulks problem was that he is so powerful and dangerous that the planet earth couldnt really handle him. They sent him to other planets so he can finally fight creatures his own size.

Its like if godzilla went to another planet, it would be ruled by people about the size of humans under constant threat from giant monsters. Preferably a different one every week.

hey i'm glad you guys mentioned the death of Superman, that was an absolutely incredible storyline, and i almost cried when i first read ish #75. I liked that Spiderman/Black Cat storyline by Kevin Smith, but i only read the first issue and he waited a century or two to finish the next ones.

I also love Ultimate Spidey (Bendis/Bagley is a wicked teamup) and the original Daredevil Bullseye storyline(i have #181 signed by Miller) and No Man's land is cool
