Let me just start by saying a rookie should never expect to receive a warm welcome on a team if they are a jerk to their teammates. It doesn't matter how good they are at what they do, if they are an ass when they first arrive, they will be hated.

With that said, why the fuck does anyone think that immigrants protesting and revolting on May Day, a fake holiday, would do anything other than make Americans more furious with illegal immigrants?

I feel like there is a very clear and easy to understand explanation that most just miss.

Most Americans have no problem with immigrants.
Most Americans do have a problem with illegal immigrants.

So, if you are a regular immigrant and you begin to throw a temper tantrum about how American's treat illegal immigrants, what do you think will happen? Seriously, grow the fuck up. Tantrums are for little kids, not adults. As an immigrant exercise your new right to vote. Call your fucking congressperson. That's right, be a fucking American and stop acting like an asshole.

This is just obnoxious:

I don't get it either. If I was a legal immigrant in a country, I'd be pissed at the illegals drawing attention to us and giving the state that much more reason to possibly hassle me. Every illegal alien makes all the legal immigrants' lives that much more difficult so I don't get how they can protest and stick up for them.

Most legal immigrants I know are pissed about illegal immigrants.

BTW, immigrants can't vote, not until they become citizens. And a fair amount of immigrants have no desire to become citizens.

yup. most legals are pissed at illegals because of the sudden attention it drew upon everyone. also, most legals were illegals at one point in time. so, them protesting makes sense.

and historically, AZ has been a racist state, so the need to protest is necessary as it takes AZ a long time to accept any type of change.

it took a while for them to accept MLK Day as a state holiday.

Heh, I was in CA for that, I remember it being a big flop. I'll say this for illegals, they have a strong work ethic.

Or maybe they know if they skip a day of work, they're easily replaced by people dying to do the work for them (maybe literally).

If you move here and don't like something but refuse to become a citizen then here is my direct comment:

on May Day, a fake holiday

Without addressing the relative merits of your point, May Day is certainly not a fake holiday. It's roots go back a long way (to the worker's rights/union movements of the early 19th Century, i think). It is in no more a fake holiday than any U.S. holiday (I'm looking at your here Valentine's Day).

All holidays are made up or 'fake'. What the hell is a 'real' holiday?

may 1st is may day, and protests are going on all over the southwest on that day.

since cinco de mayo is on wednesday, most cinco de mayo celebrations are taking place this weekend, so they are protesting those as well, mostly because of this new law that passed in AZ.
